The expressway was so backed up because of the accident it was going to take my brother forever to even get to us to take us all home. Mark loaded up my Jeep and had us hop in with him and had us put our dog on our lap so he wouldn't be by himself in the Jeep and took us to an exit where there was a gas station/subway so it was easier for my brother to get to us. When we got to Subway he jumped out of his truck and went in and got a cup of water for our dog and stayed with us until my brother got there to make sure we were okay. Said the tow truck would be there in 30 minutes. Sure enough, 30 minutes later, guy pulls up, also super friendly, hooks my VW Golf up in about 60 seconds flat (without making me nervous about scratching, denting, or damaging my car in any way - very smooth maneuverings, he could probably do it with both eyes closed and one hand tied behind his back). I hop in his car - banter a bit - get to my house and he parks it perfectly, with the same amount of ease, gently but swiftly. Awesome. Charges me exactly the distance (2.5 miles) without rounding up. He phones in my credit card. I sign the paper. And am on my merry way. So easy. Towing was almost enjoyable. Not that I would want to have another 'opportunity' to tow my car, but if I have to, I'll be calling Budget again.

Please see google review for additional information, but I will just say that dispatcher Christine did a great job of being forthcoming about who called to have my car impounded. It was a disgruntled resident who did NOT have prior authorization to call a towing company for cars parked in the carport. She was unable to even provide documentation that she herself was allowed to park in the carport. Driver Thomas was unwilling to allow me to resolve this issue with cash, but he drove off without towing once the cops showed up. He did not speak to a LEO and claimed, "It's Easter and I don't want to deal with this." I will be seeking legal counsel to discussion next steps in this process, as the unlawful towing attempt resulting in my car being scraped. Based on the other reviews, this company has a horrible track record in professionalism, service, and fees associated with their services. They REPEATEDLY told him that "a driver will be there in 15 minutes! He waited from 3 PM to 10 PM. When I called the number for them online, the first thing that I asked was who contracts them the most frequently in Ann Arbor. The man said " What?" I said "What businesses or institutions contract you the most frequently in Ann Arbor?" He replied, "MA'am, do you need a tow truck? We're busy and it's cold out" then hung up on me. They literally forced someone to wait outside in the cold for 6 hours, always saying "15 more minutes and a driver will show up!" It's so unprofessional to have multiple names for the same business, NOT have a website, NOT accept credit card payments, lie ("15 more minutes" turns into 6 hours of waiting outside, refuse to answer questions AND rudely bring up the fact that it's cold outside (don't customer service reps sit inside)? This isn't even a business. Y'all need to stop leaving negative reviews and instead contact IRS about the company potentially not paying taxes and potentially committing tax fraud. They don't have customers, leaving a bad review won't help. But contacting an organization to investigate them might put them out out of business if they go to prison for "accidentally" not reporting the entirety of their paid ONLY in cash earnings.
