Same setup with produce and bakery in the first aisle, cheese and deli along the back, meats and frozen on the opposite side wall, with two aisles of dry goods, canned goods, cleaning and kitchen down the center and of course, the Aisle of Awesomeness with a constantly changing and sometimes seasonal selection of generally one-time only "buy it before it's gone" stuff. ALDI now accepts credit cards. They do not bag your groceries and in fact, bags are not free. And you will need to bring a quarter for the deposit on your shopping cart that you get back when you return it. Because it's all about saving money at ALDI. That speaks to the service they want to provide. I've used Gateway before with great results. This time everything went wrong. It seems like no one there knows how to do their jobs. The slaughter was horrible. Took three shots and finally had to slit the throat to end him. I can't imagine how that affects my meat. I keep the beef calm and separated at processing. They are quietly eating their sweet feed and then nothing. Not this time. Then they lost my cut sheet. I drove there and filled it out. I asked for the fat back to use for tallow. I was given the spleen with fat on it and told that was what you get for tallow. I'm sorry for a 1400 pound beef, that is not acceptable. I still have beef from our last cow. My 1lb package of ground beef this time is only 2/3rd the size of my last 1lb package. I haven't weighed them yet but now I'm concerned about that too. His time, I split the beef with someone. They had no record I paid for the processing when the other party came to pick up their half. If this had just been one instance of one employee messing up, I wouldn't have left a review. But EVERY person I dealt with got it wrong. I paid them a fair amount of money for lousy service that likely affects the taste of my investment. I raise my beef so my quality is controlled every step of the way. They ruined a 2 year investment.
