Rosenblooms used to be a awesome party store that had a lot of stuff that you just couldn't find at other places. You could also special order a lot of items and the women who worked there were great. The store was here for years and I recall as a kid being brought here around the holidays. It was a true iconic place in Lowell.
Fast forward to this past St. Patty's day and I went out looking for some festive stuff. Upon walking in, I walk into a convenience store which takes up about 1/3 of the place and the rest is an empty canvas. I ask the lone person in there about party decoration, who appeared to be middle eastern and had to ask him again because I haven't a clue about what he said first. He politely told me that they had moved the party store to the rear, in a separate entrance.
While heading to the rear, I am quick to discover that the "store" is now in what appears to be an old garage or storage facility. I don't think the place is even heated because it was freezing cold in there, just as cold as it was outside. I was the only person here besides the woman working. Rosenblooms was never the largest place to begin with, but this place literally consists of about 6 shelves. I was quick to find some cheap stuff and left in a hurry. I was shell shocked about what the place has turned into.
All great things must come to end, I suppose. Too bad. read more
