This is a nice facility, but my biggest complaint is the pool police. They tell you "You can't do…read morethis, you can't do that, you can't wear this, you can't wear that". Yet they think nothing of people spreading their fecal bacteria in the hot tub and pool when they enter without taking a nude shower first. It is one of the rules there, but it is NEVER enforced. Hot tubs, especially, are bad places as the bacteria is in a warm environment, and people breathe it in when the tub is active. For a "family" Y, they are much more concerned about image that they are about the safety of the patrons. Personally, I never feel welcome in the pool area. I always feel like I'm being watched for violations. Oddly enough, I'm one of the few that actually does shower before I go in.

Becoming a Personal Trainer, and having gym equipment at your residence must not be in their acceptable membership contract agreement. Very displeased by this, and seriously considering leaving the Anytime Fitness family. Because it's very evident that their family is very limited. Established people with dreams are apparently unwelcomed in their doors.

I found Next Step Fitness quite by accident when I was visiting another business at Legacy Village…read more It's a small fitness studio with private one on one sessions with a personal trainer. The sessions are designed to achieve specific fitness goals of each client and take into consideration individual ailments such as arthritis. The personalized approach and attention to correct form are what set Next Step apart from other fitness studios. I've used personal trainers a few other times in a big gym setting, but the privacy here makes a difference. As I go through the exercises, we talk about a lot of health information which keeps me aware of other health oriented topics. I will say that Next Step is kind of pricey, but the cost of bad health is very pricey too. I think of this as an investment in myself.
