This firm states they are well versed in guardianship - could not be further from the truth. They are a scam! (In my opinion.) They will bill over and over again and bill for a bill. For example, send a bill for looking over a document and then a bill for the cost of writing the bill.... WTF! This added unnecessary stress to an already difficult situation. They will look for any reason to send a bill (especially Elizabeth Manzo...again, in my opinion. I should also say allegedly to cover my a**).- I hope this feedback serves as a reminder of the importance of ethical practice in law. Everyone should stay away from this firm.

I would not recommend this attorney based on my family's experience…read more This attorney represented my uncle in a guardianship case involving my grandmother. What happened to our family is something I will never forget. My mother and I were in the home asleep when my grandmother was taken from the house and placed in a nursing home. Imagine waking up and realizing that an elderly family member has been taken out of her own home while you were sleeping. Whatever someone may think about the family circumstances, there was a human being at the center of this case -- my grandmother. To us, she was not a case number, an estate, or a source of legal fees. She was our family. I understand that an attorney represents their client. But there comes a point where the legal process has real human consequences, and in our experience, compassion seemed to be nowhere to be found. The entire experience left me feeling that the pursuit of control, money, and legal fees became more important than the people whose lives were being turned upside down. Watching a family go through something this painful and feeling like everything could simply be reduced to paperwork, court filings, and financial interests is heartbreaking. I will never forget how this was handled or how it made my family feel. If you are considering hiring this attorney, I strongly encourage you to ask questions about every possible consequence, every fee, and exactly what could happen to your loved one before moving forward. People may forget a court case. Families don't forget what happens to the people they love.

The…read moreattorney I hired at that firm was a woman (I wanted a female attorney), and I was immediately turned over to a male associate that I didn't know, and I didn't feel he was advocating for me. After expressing my frustration to my Pastor, who worked in a courthouse for 26 years, he highly recommended Melissa Zemsky. In fact, he said "the only lawyer I would recommend to anyone going through what you are going through is Melissa Zemsky because she will put her heart and soul into every case. I have seen her in action". I feel that Melissa was sent to me from Heaven. Being that I was so blindsided by my ex-husband, I feel that Melissa was honest, direct, efficient and was reasonable with her fees. She was result-oriented. Melissa brought my case to a quick conclusion. My case was lingering in Union County; Melissa came in, got me the results I needed let allowed me to finally move on with my life. I learned to love Melissa not only as a professional but also as a great human being that showed me how to be a stronger, more independent woman. I highly highly recommend Melissa to anyone that going through a divorce because I know how hard it could be.
