Beware of this company. Their quality of work is the worst. Whether it's placing sod or plowing a driveway, they are very bad. I live in a townhome in Maple Grove and soon we will be hiring a new company to do quality work which is something The Rose Companies is not known for. I live in a townhome in Wayzata and I have had alot of problems with this company. They remove all of the discharge chutes from their mowers, which not only makes a mess for the homeowner but it is also very dangerous for their employees. IMy neighbor and I also had trouble with them mowing and weed whipping the grass too short and some problems with our gardens when they applied herbicide to the grass. They also repeatedly scrapped a few feet of sod off my property when they plowed every winter. I don't think they train their employees very well. read more

I agree totally with the previous reviewer. I live in a townhome complex in Plymouth and they are horrible, we have had so many problems with this company. Their idea of weed control is bad, the toxic spray they use doesn't work, and they leave a mess every time they come to mow. I would stay far away from this company! read more

This is not only one of the worst landscape and snow removal companies to have the misfortune of doing business with, it's also one of the worst companies to work for. The owner John Rose will take random unscheduled vacations more than once a year and will avoid phone calls the entire time from all of his employees. The most frustrating part of these vacations is that they occur conveniently when he doesn't deposit money in the payroll account. The result is that everyone's paycheck will bounce for sometimes days to weeks at a time with no way of knowing when you'll be able to cash them. Also a key problem is, they operate on hand written time sheets that the Rose Companies holds onto. This means your paychecks may be shorted every now and again. They may offer decent wages and they hardly demand quality work, so if your lazy and need a quick buck it may sound very enticing, but be forewarned when it comes to actually getting your money you'll be in for a rude awakening. read more
