The concierge recommended The Ash, so we gave it a try. We were delighted ;-) Two of us had their fish and chips; one of had mushy peas and one had regular peas. Another of us had the Steak and Mushroom Pie - she loved it (and she's picky). The fish and chips were huge portions but we've decided that all fish and chips kind of taste the same anymore so while they were good, they were otherwise unremarkable. I had the apple crumb for dessert and it was awesome along with a whoopass cup of coffee. The staff was very friendly and took good care of us. The place is decorated with airline models on the ceiling beams and they've got a really nice vintage R/C Spitfire hanging from the ceiling too. Overall it was a lovely experience and a place I recommend.

There's an outside courtyard and apparently a large room at the back with a stage where they host live music. The walls are decorated with various old paintings, and there's a fire place in one part of the pub. It's easily a place where I could see whiling away an afternoon or evening in a very traditional setting! They weren't serving food when we were there which was a little surprising given it was a Saturday evening, but someone said they were doing food at lunchtime. Although, with a food hygiene rating of 2 out of 5 according to the Scores on the Doors website you may not want to eat here anyway. Hopefully I will make it back at some point to enjoy the pub some more! Possibly skipping the food though...

Great vegetarian, kids and meat eater choices, with great staff and a wonderful atmosphere. It was a Friday night and the Three Willows was full and there were lots of locals, which is always a great sign! Despite how busy it was, service was quick with a smile! This will be our go to in this area now and we are planning to return tomorrow!
