The name outside this oval shape some building is called Corn Exchange Shops. It houses a collection of speciality boutique stores. It claimed that the merchandises were exclusively from local independent makers, artists and designers of Yorkshire. The basement level has a few ping pong tables set up for recreational players. I did pick a few unique items from the shop called Natural & Nice. It has two camera stores that sell old SLR cameras that used films. It is pretty cool place to hang out and do window shopping.

We stopped…read morein not quite realizing what it was, but thanks to Julie and our tour guide (Joey Lyons), we learned it was a site full of Beatles history and unique memorabilia. I loved the Penny Lane wall on the outside area along with the original yellow submarine...great spots for pics! And inside I was thrilled that the tiny space was selling so many wonderfully unique Beatles items perfect for gift giving and collecting. The prices were reasonable and majority of the inventory was entirely unique. I controlled myself from purchasing every single item and instead purchased a hand-painted tile for my parents, the book "Once Upon a Time in Liverpool" (which my 6 & 3 year old girls loved), a guitar pick, key chains, and I think that was all I bought. I LOVED all their original Beatles prints and tiles and handmade cards but seriously had to hold my hands back from buying out the place! I hope the word gets out about this business because it is not one to be missed for any Beatles fan. The bigger picture of this place is that it's a non-profit to benefit the local community in Liverpool. Julie, the charity manager (I have no idea what her title was honestly!) engaged in conversation with us and was so polite and helpful. My trip to Liverpool taught me how fantastic the city is and how much Paul McCartney still pours his heart and soul (and money) into the city. They hold community events and classes here, so I wish I could have experienced more! I'm thinking this is not a commonly found site for Beatles tourists, so consider yourself told about it now and make it a point to check it out!

As for the wonderful local Liverpudlians, Penny Lane Development Trust offers them many, many opportunities to participate in community life, participating, volunteering... being a bigger part of who we are and all we see. Activities are also held there, and they're many and varied... Pilates, creative writing, Yoga, weight loss, art classes... And needless to say THOUSANDS of Beatles fans come every year as it harkens back to many a happy memory of a song by the same name. There's one of a kind Beatles memorabilia in the gift shop area, paintings, books, tile art, jewelry, postcards, tea and coffee cups, T-shirts... they have it all, and quite reasonably priced as well. If you ever are fortunate enough to visit this marvelous city in the north of England, please remember to stop by and say HI to Julie and the rest of the lovely people there at Penny Lane Development Trust. York Minster Shop is a small gift shop right next to the famous York Minster. I've been in several…read moretimes to purchase small gifts, especially at Christmas when they often sell lovely little glass angels. Other than that other things I've noticed they sell are general York and The Minster souvenirs and small keepsake items. It's a nice shop but really small so I steer clear if it looks too busy, which it often is due to tourists.

Manchester Souvenirs & News have had locations popping up all over the city of late as the…read morenewsagents' chain look to expand - this is probably one of my favourite stores they have in the city, and I do like it much more than their newer locations at Arndale Centre Exchange Square, Shudehill and Deansgate, as well as their other location at the other side of Piccadilly Gardens. Refurbished of late to include a Post Office, this is one of the latest opening Post Offices in the area which is open from 6 in the morning to 6 in the evening throughout the week, opening a couple of hours later on Sunday and 8 - 8 on Saturday. The Post Office inside this newsagents is all the more important especially with the Town Hall's refurbishment meaning the Post Office there is out of action for now, and this one does seem a little quieter with less queuing compared to the other Post Office in their other store at Piccadilly Plaza. Despite being located in an older building on Mosley Street, close to Primark and Metrolink services, the inside of the store is pretty modern including multiple friendly staff working the store and Post Office checkouts as well as a pretty decent drinks/news selection, although I do find the prices to be a tad higher compared to nearby. 4* - A very innovative idea to add a Post Office into this store after the Town Hall's closer for refurbishment was announced which meant there would still be a Post Office on Mosley Street, while still being a useful store in a good and central location too.
