She was at the doctor again on Tuesday, hoping for something to help. By Thursday she had given up hope. I suggested talking to a chiropractor to see if there was something that could help. He wasn't cocky at all, in fact he said he was hoping it'd get her some relief. She walked out feeling better than ever. Still feeling great today. If you are told you have an autoimmune and a chiropractor won't help, please check it for yourself. I'm so upset we listened to that advice and didn't try this sooner.

After many years of seeing different chiropractors in Rockford who studied at Palmer, I began…read morehaving migraines after being adjusted. I did not want to see a chiropractor any more because I would be in more pain when I left than when I came in. About 3 years ago, I began having tingling and pain down one of my legs. I tried an accupuncturist and was dissatisfied. Then a coworker referred me to Dr. Danielle Anderson. I went to her initially wanting acupucture, but she talked me into giving chiropractic another try. Dr. Danielle has a completely different approach to chiropractic than those who I had seen before. She applies a moist heat pack, then massages a little, and finally adjusts the spine. I can't say that the adjustment is gentle, nor can I say say it is rough. She applies an appropriate amount of pressure and gets great results. I have not yet walked out of her office feeling worse than when I came in. Also unlike her Palmer counterparts, Dr. Danielle does not pressure me into seeing her once a week indefinately. I see her when I need to see her. I cannot say enough about how much I love seeing Dr. Danielle! As if having a great experience at her office wasn't enough, her office is on a farm with various birds, zebras, lemurs, arctic foxes, horses and many other animals you can peek at from the waiting room window. Also, her fees are very reasonable and she is flexible with scheduling appointments.

I came across an article regarding cessation of cyclic vomiting syndrome after upper cervical care…read more My family and I had previously been seeing chiropractors who forcefully crack the neck and back or use the activator, and our health conditions had not been improving, so I did NOT want that kind of treatment again. Our family practitioner recommended Upper Cervical Care Center/1st step chiropractic. It was 1.5 to 2 hours drive one way to this office, but I still made the appointment and am glad I did. We saw Dr. Orem in May, 2018. She took low dose digital X-rays and went over the X-rays with me. The family member with cyclic vomiting syndrome, (P), had a misalignment that was eleven degrees and Dr. Orem said the typical misalignment is two degrees. The first adjustment was, (thankfully), done the same day as the X-rays. Dr. Orem called the next day to check and see how P was doing. Six days later P experienced a very mild, very brief vomiting episode, and we came back for another adjustment that Friday. P started having hot flashes and insomnia so I drove to Rockford for adjustments twice per week, (and that stopped the insomnia and hot flashes). I noticed that P's bowel movements were becoming more regular and formed, without any dietary changes. We had P adjusted 12 times over a nine week period, and then we just couldn't handle the drive anymore. P is now with a different practitioner, however, we miss everything about Dr. Orem, Dr. Schalow and this practice. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, and Dr. Orem was very patient and calm with pediatric patients, (and a nervous mother). The prices were reasonable as well. I can not recommend this practice enough. For the first time in years, I feel my family has found healing and that is nothing short of a miracle. We have also enjoyed over nine weeks without any vomiting, and I expect that to continue. I am so grateful.
