I was told by the owner (Shain) that I'd have to wait for a bit, and then she got me in her chair about 25 minutes later. I walked out about 25 minutes after that with one of the best haircuts I've ever had. I will definitely be back. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she explained why my hair wasn't right for that cut - then she used her expertise, a hair straightener, and some product to give me EXACTLY what I wanted! I will definitely be back to see Shain. I told her how happy I was and that's when she told me that she doesn't usually cut women's hair. Ha! Even the process is unique, as Jr's has their own style of doing men's haircuts that makes it feel personal and luxurious. Value is strong as well for what I would consider to be a high-end haircut. They've since moved to downtown Point Pleasant, with an upgraded shop and an appointment-based system which I prefer. Jr's is a hidden gem for all sorts of men's haircuts, straight razor shaves, and all of a man's barbershop grooming needs.

It does have an "old school" feel to it as some other people have mentioned on yelp, and I sincerely think they do a good job pulling it off. Every time I go I don't have to say anything besides "the usual" and Billy will know what to do. Haircuts are very reasonably priced at $19 for a men's haircut, and includes a nice warm shave for the sideburns and upper neck. The two are always pleasant, always lively, and always professional. I would highly recommend Billy G's over any of the chain stores popping up nearby that cycle through new barbers every other month. Note: they're constantly busy, so it would be best to make a reservation. Even with a reservation sometimes you might have to wait 10-15 minutes, but the quality is certainly worth it.

I wanted to try a new style but didn't know what I wanted or what to even ask for. Nick was knowledgeable, he recommended something for my hair style and I trusted him to do his thing. Luckily I did cause it was the best cut I have ever gotten. Since then I haven't gone anywhere else and I always love the cut. Staff and the owner is always friendly and the new shop is beautiful and clean! They are all about quality and customer service with every client coming in happy and leaving the same way. The barber didn't really listen to me when I told him the kind of cut I wanted so it ended up being shorter than I wanted it to be, even showed a photo for reference but, he only really glanced at it and only asked a couple questions. It wasn't the most pleasant hair cut either. Two photos are attached that show the irritation and sores I recieved that must have been from the electric razors. The razors themselves are skin safe but, the barber was so incredibly rough when shaving me that I now have these irritated sores that actually have small cuts in them. He also stepped away multiple times to show the other guys in the shop things on his phone and also had dip or chewing tobacco in his mouth. Don't let yourselves be fooled, this is NOT the "barbershop experience" or "niche" of a barbershop, none of this is acceptable. Not pleased at all.
