I noticed that Rosalie Geronimo dentiest "good reviews" mainly come from other dentists. I would be very skeptical about such review and doubt its usefulness. Many other consumer websites do not allow professionals of the same trade to give reviews because there can be "trading of favors" and "conflict of interest". So be mindful of her five star reviews.
Okay I went into the dental office on a saturday morning when I have a sharp ache in tooth gum. I was told that she cannot do extraction or any treatment. Instead, I was given pain killer and a referral to another dentist. The referral didn't specify what the treatment was referred to me.
So I scheduled the appointment with her referred dentist. When I got there, I was asked to pay $697. I asked what was it for because I have insurance. I was told that I am referred here to do root cannal. This cost, and the X-ray, cost $697. Then I asked what else will be done after today's root cannal treatment. I was then told there will be filling, and crown procedures. The total would $2500 (even though I have insurance).
Well, the letter of referral from Rosalie Geronimo states "evaluation/extraction". So I asked: " Can I do extraction?" I was told by this office that they only do filling and crown, but they don't extraction.
Okay then I had to go back to Rosalie Geronimo's office. I asked her if she can do the extraction because this teeth is very bad (half is gone, half is left). She said she worry that she won't do it well, and some broken pieces might be left in the gum which may cause infection. She wouldn't do the extraction.
I further ask then since my insurance is with you, can you do the root cannal and the filling? She said, she doesn't do root cannal here, and she doesn't do filling here. So then I asked her, "what do you do then, if you don't do extraction, root cannal, or filling?"
THen this comes with the most absurb part. She told me that each doctor is different and each case is different. Even if she does extraction, she would still decide in each patient's case if she can do extraction for THIS patient or not.
Out of disparage, I got another referral for an extraction doctor this time. I called the 3rd doctor up but the appointment would be in March of next year! Boy, I went to emergency treatment on a Saturday and now I need to wait for 5 months to get treated? So what does Rosalie do anyway? Only tooth cleaning?
I called around and luckily a friend refer me to a Newark Dental Center. They don't take my insurance but at this point, the pain is hurting me and I would pay out of my pocket.
It turned out that this new dentist that I found through my friends only spent 5 minutes to extract this half-gone teeth. I had no infection, no complication whatsoever. Dentist Ou told me that sometimes a tooth extraction would take an hour, in a very complicated situation. My teeth is small, it's not a molar, and the bone is soft enough. It took him only 5 minutes. He charged me only $151.80.
So with this, you can tell how grateful I am to Dentiest Ou and how disappointed I was at Rosalie Geromino. She turned me to two other dentists, one said the X-ray Rosaline took is no good (by the way Rosaline doens't have the scan that can do a panoramic view of the whole moouth, so much so about her technology. I say it's 15 years old already).
The other dentist asked me to wait 5 months, not even have time to look.
Rosaline doesn't do extraction because my case "is too complicated". But it only took Dentist Ou 5 minutes and did it with no infection, no extra bleeding, and my gum heeled after 2 days. Rosalie Geromino wouldn't do it. This tells you how little skill Geronmino has, by comparison. read more
