The lunch staff and custodial staff are friendly and remember the kids names. The principal is in his second year at Penn. He has made a lot of changes to the look and feel of the school. The kids and parents are always welcome to talk to him at events. Great teachers at all grade levels from pre-K to 5th. I can't say enough about the staff at this school. There is a lot of parental involvement. There are a lot of events throughout the year for the students from field trips, movie night, ice cream social, science fair, reading fair, spelling bee, gym nights, spirit night at local restaurants, and more. There is a great deal of emphasis on the whole child...education, community, health and fun! I still have 3 years left and plan to keep my last two at Penn. I am a PTO member and a huge school volunteer. Penn is a great place to learn and grow.

He enjoyed his kindergarten teacher this year and she was very attentive to his academic needs and behavior socially. She kept in touch with me when he was struggling in areas. Very secure with him going here. First time parenting is nerve wrecking and they all handle it well, especially the ladies in the front office, principle always called back within 3 hrs or less whenever I called in with a concern. 5TH GRADE TRAUMA FOR Y'ALL! (warning: cursing)…read more so basically in this school (rating: 5/10) is not that good for my opinion because there are so many brainrotted kids, some pick-mes, and even bullies! Ugh! Am telling about my teachers and what they done to me. Reading/Writing Teacher: She is calm and serious but kind, she would help my grammars and fix my punctuation. My other teacher, ESOL, is not bad but she's nice, same thing to me. She speaks more than 3 languages I think. Social/Science Teacher: A very chill person. She would help me on instructions and step by step such as experiments and guiding paperwork. And a man who always calls me because I am in his group. He gives out reading sheets and is also a chill person Math Teacher: She is both unkind and kind towards me. I used to like her since forth grade because I thought she was pretty nice but turns out to be opposite. This motherfucker would scream at the whole entire class. She wouldn't even shut her bitch ass up. One time she called me out because I "cheated" (I was distracted) because I was doing some easy parts that weren't 5th grade because I saw one of these badges and I wanted to get them all by doing it one by one, not noticing or forgetting that I was ranking with other students, she called me out and I was like "uhm what does she want?" she yelled at me and at the whole class l was stunned and hold my tears (I was sensitive to loudness) at the end if class/schoolday I would talk to my teacher bout it and my mom. They both understand me but my ESOL teacher told me it wasn't okay. I didn't know but now I know. Another time again this math teacher gave all of us study guides and I took one, I was distracted again (just wait till I tell u why I get distracted) she came up to me and I snap out of my zoning and looked at her and she said "write the name". I wrote my name and she said "nope" and I did it again wrongily. And I didn't know but I wrote my name and this spoiled brat slam the extra piles of paper against her head and let's a dramatic groan so LOUD. "UUUUGGGGBHHHHH!"" and she started screaming! I was crying BC she was so loud like a fucking truck that honks loudly. Oh yeah I forgot there was another teacher that is in the same room as hers and she is so kinddd. When I was crying she gave me a tissue. And when this bitch came back she said "stop crying, am not dealing with this". Like this stupid whore just didn't care about my fucking feelings like this little shit didn't even care about me. She literally walk off like nothing happened. I hated her so much I pretend to like her. I know that's stupid but wtf is her problem ! She probably has brain damage or smth. Btw this motherfucker gave me a diagnosis called ADHD due to her distraction! And we started knowing when I told my mom and she was pissed like she wanted to beat that girls ass. I don't recommend putting your kids in that school. But it has its advantages. Some kids enjoy this school. They have decent lunch, there's a book vending machines or something like that. So far so good with the School & our child's teacher. They have a descent & very affordable before…read more& after school program. The only problems we see thus far lies with the School's Principle. I observed a concern & tried to address it to her but instead of finding out a better way to fix it, she went on the Offensive. I will not go into details due to the children safety & security but the principle is aware of it & she chose not to be bothered with it. As a school principle, she should learn how to take constructive criticism better & not go on the offensive everytime a concerned parent brings up an issue. Another problem is lunch, it is only 30 min, by the time the kids wait in line & got their food, they only have about 10 min to eat. My child said she wasn't finished with her food & a staff took away her fork while she was eating. After school program is ok but they need to clean the place better, basquets where kids put their bookbags are filthy. Teachers need to monitor the kids 'coz the kids open door for anyone that walks by. Unsafe! They need a better system.

Phone was hung up on me very aggressive after stating my sexuality also. Definitely won't send anyone this way. Agape "CHRISTIAN" Academy owner is very judge mental in telling me they don't accept that(me being gay)at there facility. BEWARE DON'T BRING YOUR CHILD HERE!!! First of all this is…read morenot a Christian Academy it was more like the Hell Academy! My son started on 11/28/22 and I removed him on 2/17/23. He was only there a lil over two months. During that time I witness 4 teachers quit during the two months my son was there. The owner of the place Ms. Cynthia lives in NC. She's cheap and would hire anybody. The facility itself is old and not sanitary at all!!! They have roaches and mice running rampant. The Director Ms. Gene had the nastiness attitude. Shes old and had a number of health issues and shouldn't be working there. She would scream and yell at the kids all day long. My son would come there every day in a good mood and when I came to pick him up he would be crying. Ms Gene would have him isolated in the back room by himself until I would come pick him up and he would be crying the entire time. The last day my son was there she decided to video tape my son crying without my permission! I am currently in the process of filing a complaint. Worse preschool ever!!!
