I like this dispensary. If you know what you are doing and getting, you can be in and out quickly. With covid-19 crap, a lot of the shops are super slow with only one or two people working at a time. This place always has at least 4 bud tenders and they work fast. I agree that if you are new to 2020 weed shops and how they work or just need a hand to guide you, then maybe the three shops next door are a better bet. The guys here are friendly and all, but I think a newbie would have a better experience at a hippie type of place or even the pharmacy customer service of livewell down the sidewalk. This shop has tons of cheap shake of ALL strains! Baking quality shake for like under $50 an oz! And decent top shelf shake for under $100! Best shake prices I found in about 10 shops in Trinidad. My husband went in and bought an ounce on Tuesday. He had it split in quarters and when he got home and opened the sack one of the jars was completely empty. Absolutely nothing in it!! We immediately tried to call but their phone doesn't work. We've emailed but No response. Clearly it's all on camera and easily verifiable. At first we thought it was a mistake but since we are unable to reach anyone and No One has called or emailed us we can only believe this is business as usual for Rooted. Great service and good value for money! Keep in mind that you can only pay in cash, but there's an ATM on site.

I would recommend Rooted to well experienced buyers who know what they want and are looking for a no frills dispensary where they can get in quick without a whole lot of handholding. I wouldn't put myself on that level, so if you're like me and have a lot of questions and like to browse, I would recommend trying some of the other dispensaries next door. My budtender was very friendly and did answer all of my questions and was helpful, he just wasn't very "guide-y" if that makes sense; I could tell from the other customers that went in and out that this place wasn't set up for those of us with less experience. So if you know what you want and don't want to wait in the lobby, I'd say Rooted is great, but if you are just exploring the wonderful world of cannabis maybe try one of their more mainstream neighbors first and then check out Rooted. read more

They sell grams only. But they have some of the better product in town. Most of the staff is awkward but the guy who usually helps is pretty cool. Its a good place to go if you need small amounts only. read more

It's hard to be five stars when you have sooooo many stores all around you. The staff were good, just not as good as the staff at store around them. Rooted Trinidad is a disreputable businesss Over a morning and early afternoon we toured the many rec. stores in Trinidad. Rooted had a high THC Sativa, near 30%, priced right. So I split an ounce with a friend. When we got home we noticed that the product labeling, and the regulatory labeling, measured the THC at 24 percent. Thinking they had grabbed the wrong deli jar, made a simple mistake, we returned to the store. When we went in, Rooted staff said there was no error, and that the State of Colorado, its cannabis regulations, allow THC measurements to vary by up to 15%. In other words, a 25% THC could really be 10% and be legal. We were surprised by this, the low standards for consumer protection. Understand, that a 15% variance in percent THC, on an advertised 30% THC, is a margin of error of 50%. I wish my boss would let me do my job half right. And like all con-artists, Rooted's defense was to play a shell game by wrapping the misrepresented THC content problem within the regulatory issue of PRODUCT VARIABILITY WITHIN A HARVESTED BATCH. Rooted was attempting to hide the misleading THC content, as advertised on the face of the deli jar, the marketed rate, confuse that with the allowed regulatory tolerance. The jar said 29.5. The packaging said 17-24. The conduct was deliberate and intentional. Won't ever shop at Rooted again, Trinidad or elsewhere. Worse, sadly, is realizing the deli style vendors may not be as credible/reliable as the prepackaged stores. Rooted hooted, Consumers looted, Rooted booted, Cheating muted. read more

loyal customer for years. came through with my wife on dec 26 and had the worst customer service experience ever from one of the bud tenders. he not only was horrible to deal with but screwed up my whole ounce order. got home to tx and the "top shelf" weed I bought of strains i always get every month was unsmokeable with legitimately no high, tasting like burnt paper. i'm thinking either a shortcut taken cure and/or the trichomes aren't there due to a horrible machine trim job. never been more burned in 13 years of daily smoking. I reached out to Rooted and they just play dumb. I've had some dirt weed for years for a rainy day and it has played a serious role for my mental health the last two weeks taking the place of this bullshit I was sold. I would completely avoid Rooted, it's interesting that they have pounds of "top shelf" weed being sold out of these huge jars and the place doesn't smell like weed at all. i'm shocked this place has this high of a review aggregate, it's a shit show in there. go to Nuvue. read more
