I love this quilt shop! So much so that I drive from Columbia to shop there. It's a good size…read morestore with just about everything you can imagine, and the staff are so friendly and helpful that they are more like friends than sales people. I went to several stores trying to match an unusual blue green fabric for a quilt. In every store there was nothing, and the store employees told me that's going to be a hard one to match. I already knew that. However, as I was looking at the blue green solids at Specialty Quilts, and was still unable to find one that matched, one of the great ladies came up and said they could custom order just about anything. She pulled out a Bella color card, with actual fabric samples, not just printed colors. After we found one, she was even so kind as to take it to the door so we could check the color match in sunlight. Their hours to make it difficult for me to get there, except on Saturdays, but it is totally worth it, and worth the drive. They also have tons of quilts everywhere, to get ideas, and see the fabrics in use. The store is full and has lots of patterns, notions, and also an amazing amount of fabric. Of course. :-)

My group went here for our annual retreat and it was great! They do not provide food but we each…read moresigned up for a meal and that was no problem. There is a fully equipped kitchen so you don't really need paper plates. The rooms are very nice and although they are upstairs, there is an elevator! The retreat center adjoins the delightful shop so anything you forgot can be picked up easily. Ironing boards and irons are provided as well as cutting surfaces on bar height tables. There is also a local woman who spends the night to help with any problems. I just can't say enough about how nice it was and I'm looking forward to next year!!!

Anatol's is located off Hanley, just a couple minutes south of 40/64, so it's a quick drive from most any part of town... and it's very worth the drive. Depending on your mindset when you arrive, prepare to possibly be overwhelmed by the number of fabric options they present. Beyond indoors/outdoors, they have most anything your can imagine... and you just need to work together with your better half to get to some final options and then pick your final selection. Thank you, Anatols, for having so many options, and for making our breakfast room and dining room look soooo nice again!
