I graduated in 99, so I was in the era of our sports teams dominating at everything, but as far as I know, the teams are still good, even if they aren't #1. And there is an abundance of non-athletic extracurricular activities. From art, to activism, to music, to politics, and beyond. The student government actually has a big hand in running the school, rather than essentially being elected in name only. And I had very few of those stereotypical "getting through to retirement" bitter teachers. GO KNIGHTS! Uh, duh. Edited to add the best thing of all (and I swear if they don't exist anymore, I'll burn my yearbooks and break ties with NPHS forever). CREAMIES! However, the dictatorial and arrogant management style has a trickle down effect that makes the teachers and students timid/fearful and less confident. Compared to other catholic schools in the area, this is a striking difference and many parents noticed some red flags even on the first day of the tour/open house. The principal boasts that the academic scores are better than other local catholic schools, but the actual numbers do not support this claim. If you are looking for classroom size, this is not your school. If you are considering this school because of religious reasons, then you need to consider their values that go against christian values.

This was all very apparent for us even at the kindergarten level with our child's teacher (JC). Specials teachers are hit or miss. My child would have nice details to share about their time in STEM, art, PE and library, but then couldn't really share anything of value from music despite my child's love for music outside of school. This is the location of Holland Middle School, a part of the Council Rock School District. While my…read moreson is not a student here, he does play basketball as part of the Council Rock Basketball Association. The 7th grade teams play here on weekends. The facility is large enough for two full courts, and it is used morning 'til late afternoon on Sundays to fit in all the teams playing in this age bracket. Like most public schools in the lower grades, it lacks bleachers. Parents stand/sit around the edge of the courts to watch their kids play. The referees are local people trained in wearing black and white stripes and a whistle. They do an excellent job keeping the games under control, especially given the reality that most of these boys and not yet developed into skilled athletes. They don't call every foul or violation, because the game would never be completed it they did that. They let the game go and try to allow everyone to have fun while they compete. Thanks to all the volunteers who coach, keep time and score, and maintain the facilities for the rest of us. Kudos to the parents for coming out and letting their kids play the game without parental interference. It is good to see everyone again this season.

IT BEATS PUBLIC SCHOOL…read more My son goes there for pre-K. We love the school and their staff. Once my daughter is old enough to attend, we will be sending her too. I only have one concern, and it's a major one, they need to tighten up security on the grounds. I would like to see them a hire a police officer or an armed security guard. I know people will probably say why, but the safety of my(and your) children is the most important thing that I think of when I'm not there with them. My wife and I pay a decent amount of money to send our son here. I wouldn't mind paying a little more if they could meet those concerns. Please don't take this review as a bad one. This was only negative that I have with the school, but I think it's worth mentioning.
