They were into the job in minutes pulling out a number of tiles. Dave knew exactly what he was doing though and the problem was identified as leadwork round the soil pipe. As the soil pipe was not connected to anything, they removed it and the lead, put in a section of lathe to replace a rotting area and fetched in a new tile to fill the gap. We watched in wonder and were able to see photos of the problem area on photos from his mobile phone. Fast, efiicient and a good price. Look no further for your roofer.

Then, installed a new roof on the Wednesday. What more can I say?

I have suffered problems with my central heating system for many years and tried most of the…read moreplumbers in Kidderminster in an attempt to get it working. Result - same problems with heating and hot water, less money in bank account. With the weather dropping colder and my wife giving me grief, I called Central Heating Services for a quote. The guy came around on a Saturday morning and looked around for 2 hours. I was then told that some of the pipework was wrong, the system needed flushing and a new boiler fitting. He then told me how much the work would cost! (I think he guessed that I considered it expensive as I stood there open mouthed) He did assure me that the system would work fine and my gas bill reduce if he did the required work. I agreed we settled on a date when he would do the work. To his credit he did turn up when he said he would and after 3 days of taking up the floor, drilling and banging it was done - and it worked!!!!! Central Heating Services are not the cheapest plumbers I've found by any means. I paid out £3200 to other plumbers over a period of 2.5 years without any results - lesson learned, should have called them first. The new boiler etc was fitted over 4 months ago now and I've just had the bill for the quarter. My gas costs have reduced by 21% since it was fitted so they did what they promised I guess. By no means the cheapest plumbers around, but the best I've found and worth every penny. I would recommend them.

I just moved into a new property so needed a cleaner. Donka was a lovely lady! She came in and…read morestarted work straight away, very professional. Had brought all her own cleaning supplies. She finished the job under 3 hours which I was extremely pleased with as it would have taken me much longer. Everything I asked for was done and to a very high standard. All kitchen appliances were also cleaned. Highly reccomend Donka and Clean2Clean.

Im coming out. I admit it, im a slut when it comes to cleaning my oven. Life is just too short…read more Ive lived in my current house for 8 years and, frankly, oven cleaning is right at the bottom of my list of priorities. I've done the usual - i clean the hob and i've sometimes stuck one of those awful oven cleaner thingies inside the oven (you know the ones with the plastic bags that look like they'd strip your soul clean but never manage to move much of the ground in grease from your cooker?) but lets face it, as long as the oven works and doesnt look like it has been used by The Young Ones (for those of you old enough to remember the show!) then its easy to ignore. Recently i had a flyer put through my door for OvenClean - its a national company but they have local franchises with the one in Birmingham being owned by Andy Mountford. The flyer had a £5 off deal attached to it so i hung it up on my (very clean) fridge and waited until payday. I initially asked for a quote from the main website and was informed that Andy would call me back - which he did within a few hours.Andy asked me what i wanted to be cleaned (i opted for both oven and hob) and was told that this would be £55 which included the £5 off. An appointment was made for later int he week. Andy turned up and set about performing his magic. He was a friendly chap and was happy to talk about what he was going to do (as well as a nice chat about how he started in the business and how it was going). First he took off all the ceramic parts of the hob and the metal shelves from inside the oven - these, along with my grill pan, would be 'boiled' inside the van whilst he set about cleaning the oven itself. The cleaning agents he uses are all environmentally friendly and i can certainly agree that there was none of those horrible caustic smells that you get from the oven cleaners you buy in the supermarket. I left Andy to it and about 90 minutes later he was done. OMG my grill pan looked like new and (drum roll please!) i could actually see through the glass door into my cooker! A brilliant job all around and good, friendly service. I know its lazy to get someone in to do it but my thought is that if you were to spend just £60 a year then its not such a big deal.....i can heartily recommend his services!

The Rolling Stones in…read moretheir song 'Mother's Little Helper' suggested going to see the doctor for pills and presenting frozen food to the folks at meal times. Pharmaceutical sedation and ready-meals are not the only option though... Mopheads offer domestic services like cleaning and ironing. These are two activities that I'd gladly rather never do again, but strangely have not yet got round to employing anyone to do for me. You'd think by the Mopheads logo that when you open the door to this company that you've entrusted three cheeky, mischievious cartoon mops to cleaning your home. This is far from reality as the company only employ mature cleaners who can provide references, and who are CRB checked if they are working in an environment where children might be. The company also offer deep cleaning in the form of a once-yearly spring clean, or for after builders have 'been in'. I like their suggestion to employ them for a 'Letting Clean': A service for landlords or tenants that returns rented accommodation back to its former glory. I'd have never thought of that unless they'd suggested it. Aside from house-cleaning Mopheads offer service washes, dry cleaning and alterations.
