However, my windshield was busted in the process and when I went to pick it up the battery(new) was completely dead due to the lights being left on. No one assisted in getting the vehicle started and they were also very unhappy about having to replace the windshield. They tried to get me to cover half the cost and I refused. I was then told not to bring my vehicle back to the shop or to call the shop again. Lol it was quite the experience. I would advise going somewhere else...

But that's not the case they did have my…read moretruck for almost a year for a motor swap I was called to say it was done and got down there truck ran like crap and would barely pull itself down the road that was after 4.5 months of them having it I was told to take it home it should come out of it in a day or two of driving it but nope never did so had it towed back down there and was told the brain was bad the fuel pump was bad the exhaust was bad none of this was true truck still don't run right and plus had parts robbed off my truck to fix another truck down there. so had to take to another mechanic to see if they can fix it. I don't like giving bad reviews but this one is a must I will never take another vehicle to Gaines automotive for all this it cost me with tow bills a little over $3,200 I feel they ripped me off. Plus I have to pay for another mechanic to fix it when all they had to do was fix it right in the first place so now I'll be out more money to another mechanic if anyone asks me about a good mechanic it sure won't be Gaines automotive that I tell them about

Funny but a state trooper passed me as I was sitting there with my flashers on but did not stop. Anyway, a state trooper had it towed to this place and when I called they said they could not tell me the price because they didn't know what all the driver had to do to tow it 10 miles so I would have to wait 2 hours for her to call me back with the price. The guy that I spoke to when I called back to ask about getting my stuff out which is my cleaning supplies for my business but he wouldn't even allow me to tell him what I needed but instead treated me like a child and made me tell him I understood. They finally call back to tell me it will cost me 245 and I can get it at noon the next day or Monday and it would be the same cost. I told her to tell the rude man I spoke with a few choice words and all the sudden he chimes in because he had been listening on the phone the entire time. He calls me back because I hung up on him but I hung up on him again because he tells me I can't get my van until Monday because of how I talked to him. This is very unprofessional behavior and he has no business being in or working at any business. There are bad reviews after another on their Google profile stating the same thing about their rudeness and overcharging. I believe they have a deal with the troopers and it's just a big scam.
