I came to Ronnie with my old 1997 Nissan pickup I've had since it was new. The hood was misaligned and not shutting and needed a new latch and release cable. Ronnie hunted down the needed parts...all OEM (some of these parts are getting hard to find). He also fabricated a holder for the hood prop! He did such a great job in my truck, I brought my Honda Fit in for a front bumper that was coming off...Ronnie once again got the parts needed and handled the job perfectly! He also buffed out some scratches and addressed some chips in the paint on the hood (I didn't ask for this.....he goes that extra mile! My wife picked the car up and she will be bringing her CRV in for a gas door repair. Ronnie is a craftsman and a master at his trade. He also has the utmost integrity. He has reasonable rates but the workmanship doesn't suffer for it at all. First let me say that I would have never found Ronnie's Auto Body without Yelp. The reviews were stellar, and my experience confirms what everyone said. So, thank you Yelpers! I had to drive my husband's large truck into San Francisco one day when my own vehicle was in the shop. I didn't navigate my way out of a tight parking garage very well, and I damaged the rear panel of the truck around the wheel well. The only repair work I'd ever had done was by a large outfit in Santa Cruz on my own car through an insurance claim. They did a god job, so we took the truck to that shop for an estimate. We really wanted a comparison, but didn't know where to go. I jumped on Yelp, and found Ronnie's. Ronnie was very pleasant, and his estimate was a couple hundred dollars less than the other place. We made an appointment to drop the truck off for repair the next week. Ronnie said the work would take a week. Not only did the work get done sooner than expected, the truck looked amazing! Seriously, it hasn't looked that good since it was new. The repair was done perfectly, they washed the entire vehicle (including the greasy rims), and they put a little touch-up paint on dings on other parts of the truck, so they wouldn't rust. I almost wished I'd bashed my own vehicle, so it could go to Ronnie's and come back looking that good. Ronnie's isn't the kind of business you hope to frequent, because that would mean your car got damaged, but if I ever need any kind of auto body work again, I wouldn't go anywhere else, and I wouldn't bother comparison shopping. Let's just say I've had a lot of work done at Ronnie's and leave it at that. The most recent time that I was rear-ended of highway 17, the tow-truck driver was totally impressed that I knew exactly where I wanted my car towed, what time they opened, and could even give him the business card with the address on it. And although part of that comes from being Type A, I also know that I only want Ronnie working on my car. The services are reasonably priced, he is scrupulously honest and returns your car to you all nice and clean. The last time I was there this crazy skinny blonde bitch was ranting at him because he didn't have a bumper for her Lexus SUV in stock. Um... in stock? Do you really live so far from reality that you actually think that every body shop carries every part for every car, in stock, at all times? Some idiot drove into my car in San Francisco and disabled my passenger-side door completely. I wasn't able to open that door anymore. An SF auto body shop quoted the repair at $2000 including full two-panel replacement. I took my car to Ronnie's, letting him know I didn't have the money for the repair. I wanted to be sure to write a review for Ronnie as his work is amazing! I just had some major work done by a shop down the road and the color match was about 3 shades off. Shortly after that, someone hit my back bumper and left the scene. I checked with the other shop and then Ronnie's, he gave me the best price and an AWESOME JOB! Because the colors were off, they matched and mixed colors to blend with both sides of the car. Then fixed minor problems as well. And cleaned the car inside and out, including the chrome wheels! I was very pleased with the fact that they are accustomed to handling insurance companies and were willing to take the time to wait for my claim to be approved and start work before receiving a check. I still owe money on my car and was relieved to know that it wasn't totaled, considering the amount of damage. Really, really, really pleased with the work Ronnie did on the bumper on my Audi which was badly scratched on the right hand side following a bruising encounter with a low wall which jumped out behind me when I was reversing. I was fearful of the cost of the repair, anticipating I'd need a new bumper, but Ronnie was able to do the job for half of what I had anticipated paying as well as repairing all the other small scratches on the bumper in the process. Ronnie assessed the job, gave me an estimate, kept me informed of progress and updated me on a (small) upward price change. This price change was to cover the cost of another rear reflector: when Ronnie removed the bumper to repair the most recent damage he saw that the shop that repaired the bumper previously (I was rear-ended in Massachusetts) had not only glued (rather than screwed) the bumper retainers back on but had glued (rather than screwed) a right hand side reflector onto the left hand side. Ronnie repaired these errors. The finished job is even better than I expected - not a blemish in sight. read more
