My husband and I met with Dr. Delgado and liked him a lot. He ordered a PET scan, which not every doctor would do. It was a good thing because not only did that lung nodule "light up" but so did another one, elsewhere. He referred me to an oncologist in the building (and that clinic is a different story) who then referred me to the surgeon at Anschutz. He was great to begin with. However, once on a follow-up visit, he was obviously very distracted and running behind. He didn't write the after visit notes until later, and he clearly confused me with another patient. Nothing that we discussed was on the report. I don't know what was going on with him. But, we all have bad days. I have friends who still go to him and love him. I had a crisis come up when the ER thought I had pleurisy at the end of May last year (it turned into pericarditis the following week). Dr. Delgado wasn't available, but Dr. Kirsten Young was. She is a caring, intuitive doctor. She prescribed a medication which was actually for both conditions! I'm still on it. When the ER re-scanned me the following week and wanted to prescribe the med, they were shocked and pleased that I was already on the correct medication. It takes a while to take effect. She has helped me with more than one issue, including sleep referrals and suggestions regarding oxygen, and she's a rare doctor who can read CT scans (not just the report). I recommend both doctors, but I'm sticking with Dr. Young at this point. LOVE her.
