Dr. Posner is phenomenal…read more I broke three fingers in my left hand and I was about to go to surgery, when I remembered that ever since I was a child, metal earrings and any kind of jewelry would make me swell. Frantic, I called my primary physician to ask him to do a test. He recommended Dr. Posner as an allergist and refused to recommend anyone else. He said it was the best allergist around, and that's who they use for something this serious. For this, I am really grateful. Dr. Posner is by far the best allergist I have ever been to, and probably the best doctor I've ever met. For starters, he comes in with a warm smile, as if he's known you forever. He's easy to talk to, thorough, investigative, and efficient. He understood my time restraints and he drove in and opened up the entire office for me on a Saturday, just so he could check to see if I had a preliminary reaction to metal. I now understand why the office is always packed. I wouldn't trust anyone else with testing for allergies or investigating a medical problem.

They have always been very professional and the check-in procedure is run smoothly. After my initial appointment at North Bay, I was not impressed. I had to ask to check my vials to confirm that they were mine. I was told that the staff checked them to confirm the correct info. They made a note to make sure I checked my vials in the future. As a retired USAF medic, I was trained to always confirm everything with the patient. This was my first red flag. I was given info regarding an app to download onto my phone for future check-ins. After repeated attempts to do so, the app remained defective. When I tried to check into the clinic on the next visit, I got a bit of attitude because I didn't use the app. After several attempts, I called the clinic for assistance. The receptionist seemed very cavalier in her attitude and didn't seem to understand my frustration. I was hung up on while I again attempted to install the phone app. She eventually called back. By this time I was beyond frustrated and cancelled all future appointments to this ineffective clinic. I will resume my treatments at the clinic in Fairfield. I have confidence in being taken seriously and feel very at ease with their efficient system.

Her BIE treatments have been more effective than allergy shots for our 13-year-old son. They are much less painful and expensive too (with our insurance plan). He was allergic to so many environmental and seasonal stressors, including cats, pollen, mold, trees, and weeds. Bed so much better now and days he can breathe through his nose as soon as he's treated. BIE can also effectively treat more allergens than allergy shots. Mold is a good example. This past year, our son also developed many food intolerances, and Deborah has helped tremendously with those as well. Our son is so happy that he can eat his favorite foods again, including dairy, various meats, pastas, and tomato sauce.

With only two sessions, the heartburn has been eliminated. I knew the heartburn was related to the combination of pain meds and supplements I was taking. Having been a patient of the Allergy Center for 3 years, I can say with certainty my life has…read moreimproved significantly and that's largely due to the excellent care I've received from Parita. I've struggled with asthma on and off for my entire life, but I've dealt with significant exacerbations beginning in 2015. Early on, I remember telling her (and the excellent nursing staff) that I can't remember the last time I'd felt at 100%, but I'm SO thankful to say that that is changing. Though my initial appointment back in 2016 was focused on symptom management (I was in the midst of a particularly bad asthma exacerbation), on EVERY appointment thereafter Parita has taken my overall health goals and habits into account to help me regain what asthma has taken away. I haven't had a significant exacerbation in over a year, and for the first time in a loooong time, I've been able to be physically active most days of the week in a way I hadn't been since before 2015. She's offered practical suggestions and has worked hard to ensure I get the medical attention I need, and has encouraged me to "take up space" in a way I've NEVER encountered by a medical professional. I moved to the Bay Area a year ago, but I continue to receive care at the Allergy Center because Parita's care, compassion, and knowledge is unmatched. Her medical care has seen me through grad school, a major move, job changes, my wedding, and insurance changes (I so appreciate her emphasis on continuity of care)! I always say this to my family members and loved ones, so now I'm going to make it Yelp official: I wish every medical provider was like Parita. Unlike many medical providers whose work emphasizes symptom management (probably due to the pressures they face from insurance companies), Parita prioritizes the trajectory of her patients' health and consistently checks on her patients and on her work. She's extremely informative and personalizes her approach to each patient's needs. She takes her patients' concerns and knowledge of their bodies seriously (this alone sets her apart); she LISTENS attentively to feedback and genuinely cares about her patients (& their families)! With Sutter, they have one location near me, you must check in with everyone else, and the whole visit to get an injection can take an hour sometimes. Dr. P has locations in Fairfield and Vacaville that they alternate and they will bring your shots to both locations. Also, I have never waited more than 10 minutes for a shot.
