Excellent attraction for those visiting the Gers and with an interest in history. You may happen to be lucky and arrive when guided tours are available. If you don't speak French, that is a significant disadvantage, though, even though an English printed guide will be given to you.
The quality of these excavations is wonderful, with numerous mosaics, and archaeologists have revealed the workings of the hyperchaust and the layout of the legendary bath houses so beloved of the Romans. Even the latrines will be explained - and what the Romans used instead of paper!
It costs just 4EUR to go in, guided tour or not, and it is very well worthwhile. read more
