Maple roasted Carrots with harissa and yogurt
    Melissa M.

We stumbled upon Romaines tonight. The place has plenty of parking and amble seating. Even though it was a busy Friday night, and we didn't have a reservation, they were able to sit us right away. The place is very beautiful. They even have sound dampening on the ceiling to keep it from being too loud, which I appreciate. The service was impeccable. From the moment we walked in till we walked out the door we were taken care of. Not only by our server but also the hosts. Now the food. We had 2 apps. The calamari which I wouldn't get again. It was a bit chewy. Not terrible but I've had better and I prefer a red sauce and they served it with sweet chili. The second was maple roasted carrots with Harissa, yogurt and pistachios. It was good but I would like a little more nuts. Our Main dishes were the brick roasted chicken and the steak tips. I ordered the tips medium with double salad. They were perfect. The salad was arugula with blue cheese and onions which went amazingly with the beef. Hubby got the chicken it was served with roasted garlic and lemon sauce. Along with mashed potatoes and arugula. The chicken was cooked perfectly. The potatoes were very good as well. Overall this was a great place. I would say go give it a try. We decided on 4 stars because there was nothing that we have to come back for but it's a beautiful place that deserves a try.

Some friends and I went here recently for a dinner. The decor was pretty and it felt warm and welcoming. The food was good, but not great. You had to buy the bread basket if you wanted bread. I feel like giving your customers a few of the expected extras goes along way. The drinks were good and we did have a nice time. Our waitress was fine. So overall, I think I would return if friends wanted to go there. Some of the dishes we had were chicken piccata, shrimp Alfredo, salmon, and steak tacos. Nothing outstanding but all acceptable.

Special dessert tonight- cranberry apple pecan crisp with vanilla ice cream - YUM!

Romaine's is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. It has a warm vibe- great space and service. It's pretty large so they've been able to handle Covid well. The food is exceptional. The menu is big Emigh that there are plenty of options without being overwhelming. Each dish has something unique about it, and the dishes reflect all sorts of different cuisines. During our last recent visit we enjoyed the shrimp and calamari for appetizers, the jambalaya and the fish tacos for dinner, and the beignets for dessert.

I'm a sucker for a delicious bread basket.

It took me years of living here to try Romaine's and I was surprised at how delightful it was! The decor and lighting is beautiful - if you want cozy ambiance, they've got it. The food is great (see photos!), the sangria delicious, and the staff very welcoming and attentive. Can't wait to go back!

Another strip mall standout. Does not look like anything special from the outside, but had a fantastic experience here all around. Cocktails, food and service were incredible. They had a fresh swordfish special that sounded amazing, but I went with the haddock and so glad I did. It was perfectly cooked and served with a delicious creamy olive sauce. Deviled eggs were topped with pastrami and sriracha. Yum. The house sangria was white and the special cocktail was a blood orange margarita. The dessert list wasn't that appealing, but they did have some fun and fancy dessert cocktail choices.

I really like Romaine's! They have some great specials during the week for dinner. My personal favorite entree is the rolled eggplant :)

We attended a private mid-week event, and despite the size of the group, the staff seemed to do a great job having drinks and food brought out to everyone in a timely manner. The staff was courteous, professional, and friendly - this place seems to be well managed and have a good understanding of what it means to be in the hospitality industry! First of all, the warm bread and butter basket served was a great first impression. Delicious dinner rolls served hot! Our starter salads, while not large and somewhat basic, were presented nicely in modern bowls and consisted of fresh, delicate greens, a few cucumber slices and cherry tomatoes. The entrees we selected from were okay. Unfortunately, all steaks for this event were served medium, and I found mine to be less tender than my desired medium rare. Surprisingly, the naturally sweet asparagus...my first of the season...was perfect and somehow managed to upstage buttery smooth mashed potatoes and beef! Similarly, the thick toothy al dente fettuccini was the highlight of the chicken parmesan entrees, as the house-made chicken parm couldn't stand up to the chicken parm my wife makes in our house.

Evis, the owner, and every single member of the staff were absolutely INCREDIBLE! They decorated the room themselves, and the food and drinks were delicious, and they were so very attentive the entire evening. They could have rushed us to make room for more patrons on what I'm sure must be a highly sought after night, but we never once felt rushed and they made us feel so special and welcomed! Other patrons, who I suspect were friends of the restaurant, invited us to celebrate and dance with them! We've eaten at The Cellar before and loved it, and tonight just sealed the deal for us. We can't say enough good about this place. Whether you're just going out for a great evening meal or doing something special, be sure to put The Cellsr at the top of your list! Happy New Year!

Upon walking inside, you'll immediately feel like you've gone back in time. It gives off a very classic, old-fashioned diner feel, with booth seating and red stools along the counter. Important to note that this place is cash only. Lobster and other seafoods are advertised as their specialty both online and within the restaurant. I never had a lobster roll before, and unfortunately, this place made me think lobster rolls were mediocre and overrated (and then I had my life changed by lobster rolls from other places). FOOD: Lobster Roll (6 oz.) (2.75/5) - I opted for mine to be served warm with butter. It came with a side of slaw and very generous portion of onion rings and fries. The lobster roll itself was lukewarm and the melted butter came on the side in a small plastic cup. (I was expecting for the butter to be more incorporated.) The lobster sat on a small bed of cut lettuce. The lettuce wasn't of the freshest quality as some pieces tasted strangely bitter. The lobster was a tad rubbery, and everything was overall bland to me. I found myself reaching for the salt shaker more than would have wanted to. SERVICE: I believe a new hire was getting trained during my visit, so it was a bit clumsy. However, I found it rather charming. They are all very warm people, and you can tell that this is a family owned establishment, which is why I really wanted to like this place. TLDR// Unfortunately, did not have the greatest first lobster roll experience here. Hopefully, I went on an off day or I was better off ordering something else.

Went last night for the first time in many years. Was so looking forward to the lobster roll. Surprised to see the price was almost double what it used to be and it was the most disappointing terrible lobster roll I think I have ever had. The lobster meat was frozen and it was soggy and completely tasteless. You could not have made a lobster roll any worse and believe me I have had many lobster rolls. The saving grace was the good french fries. I left close to a half a lobster roll which I never ever do and don't regret leaving it. Bring back the old owners recipe and bring your price down because that is uncalled for to have such a huge price for terrible lobster!! That is the price charged by lobster shacks on the water that serve fresh shucked lobster meat which is of course understandable.
