Another issue I faced in winter - there are four separate heaters on in the weight room (one by the smith machine, another by the leg press, one by the treadmill to the furthest right, and one by the lat machine). I couldn't workout for longer than 40 minutes as I felt like my body was overheating because of this. However given that this gym IS in a great location in Navona and helped me burn many a carb, I love this place for that alone.

I was in town for one evening and was in desperate need of a workout. Weeks of vacation eating and…read moreno "real" exercise to speak of had left me incredibly grumpy and not to mention bloated/gross feeling/normal self-loathing that accompanies inactivity. This place was less than a mile from my hotel and stayed open late. The day rate is incredibly cheap, considering they could gouge workout-desperate tourists. I was expecting to pay far more than the 8.90 €. The gym is old and in a basement with approximately 8 small rooms through the two floors. Each room is pretty small, no bigger than 20 SF except for one room for stretching and core, which is quite large considering the space. Mix and match equipment, but it's got all you need. Free weights, machines, cardio, floor space and mats. Cash only for day rate or pay online with credit card. The owner, Derrick, was kind enough to accept my credit card for the day rate, even though it's against policy. The connection was bad and I was able to pay online. Cell service is terrible in the area and I couldn't connect to the WIFI, but I think this was my phone's issue. There was even a trainer walking around offering tips and encouragement. If I have time before I leave tomorrow, I will go back. I'm very glad to have found this place! It's nothing fancy but is well worth the price.
