For main courses, there's all sorts of things, the main thing I remember is lots of different types of pizza. I got the pizza prosciutto. Very delicious, and very huge! I was with a huge group of people and no one was dissatisfied with what they ordered (although because of the size of the group, I never got a chance to see what everyone ordered, but it was mostly the different types of pizza, one person ordered spaghetti). I'm not a drinker, but those who did order the beer said it was delicious. Apparently the Hefeweizen in particular was a favourite at the table. The service was also fantastic, and our waitress was very friendly and accommodating when it came to separating our cheques for us. The prices were not bad either.

The "Maxi Pizza Lieferservice" is a typical Pizza Delivery in Eichstätt. It is located in the…read moreLuitpoldstr. at the bottom of an area where you can find different eateries. Currently it also hosts the "Istanbul Imbiss" (Kebab) as the locale of the "Istanbul" is undergoing refurbishment. The "Maxi Pizza" shares the courtyard with the Minimarket "Frischemarkt Hensel". ATMOSPHERE Being a Delivery and Take-away service the locales are not elaborate but mostly funtional. A large kitchen, and a small entry area with a Counter. Behind the counter the Doner Kebab roasting spit (from "Istanbul Imbiss") turns during the day. On the back of the building is a garage for the delivery car. PARKING In Eichstätt most things are within a short walking distance. Those who live nearby won't have many minutes walk for take-away orders. Those who live a bit farther away probably would prefer ordering the delivery. If you come by car, a spot to stop is easily found (especially in the evening) for quickly loading and driving on. THE MENU The menu is a typical Pizza-Delivery menu for Germany. Pizzas build the large part of the menu and are available in various sizes. Also available is Pasta with different standard sauces, fresh Salads and some snacks (Pizza-snack rolls; Chicken Wings; Chicken Nuggets; Calamari). Standard beverages are also available. Something to try is the really good, homemade, Tiramisù. This is prepared by the wife of the owner, and is quite a runner. When it is available it finishes quite fast. The Pizzas can't really be compared to real italian Pizza. They are orientated more around the german Taste, and personally i would describe them as german-american style Pizza. There are also some Pizzas which present grilled chicken strips. These are quite delicious (one of my faves, the "Pittsburgh" - Grilled Chicken; Spinach; Crème Fraîche and Garlic). Also "Doner Kebab" Pizza is available, served with Doner Sauce on the side. Other Pizzas also add a different sauce on top (BBQ, Sweet'n'sour). Such Pizzas are not always found around Germany, but seem to be standard in all 3 Pizza Delivery Services in Eichstätt. PRICE/QUALITY The price lies within the average for Pizza Delivery in Eichstätt. Personally I find that "Maxi Pizza" points through great quality. The taste and quality is feelably superior to that of "Star Pizza" and about the same with "Pizza4You", but with prices for some Pizzas slightly lower. Rebate is given on take-away. SERVICE/DELIVERY TIMES I can't really say anything regarding the delivery times, because I lived nearby at about 3 minutes walk and only used their take-out. Though I would think that delivery times are within the average for delivery service in Eichstätt. When going there to pick up my order, the owner was always very friendly and it's easy to get into some small-talk. He works hard to keep his customers happy and coming back. Sometimes it can happen that the waiting time grows, because he decides to substitute a very crisped Pizza for a new one. CONCLUSION I can truly recommend the "Maxi Pizza Lieferservice", I've always been satisfied with my order and never had any unpleasant surprises. When you're in the mood for a quick Pizza at a good price, then "Maxi Pizza" is the right place. Also for every 10 stamped Pizza-box corners you get 1 small free Pizza. If going for take-away, it is good to check that the corner has the stamp, if it does not, the owner will quickly fix the problem by stamping it.
