Our group of 11 stopped by after touring parts of Tarsus. We chose this spot for two reason: 1- we were hot from walking and our cars were close by and 2-it looked like a nice cool place to sit and relax outside and eat before heading home. When we walked up all of the seating around the cafe was nice patio seats with misters spraying every 20 minutes it seemed. We chose two large tables pulled together right in the middle. We were greeted almost immediately by our server that spoke a little but recognizable English. We started off with waters and fruit slushes for the kids. We all ordered sandwiches, fries, and drinks as their combo meals. The first mistake was our order (which took around 20 minutes to receive when it was us and 2 other people seated) was wrong. We ordered two chicken sandwiches and a hamburger along with a chicken nugget basket. We received one chicken burger and two hamburgers. We went ahead and kept the items since it took a while to get them. The nuggets ended up coming about 5 more minutes after the sandwiches. Our friends ordered a nugget basket which arrived the same times as ours. Our other set of friends ordered two baskets of fries that took an additional 20 minutes to receive. By the time they received their two fry orders everyone else was finished with their meals. My husband and son ate their burgers, but from what I could tell it looked like dried up a McDonald's hamburger patty based on size and thickness. My chicken burger was a round, processed chicken patty like I would grab from the grocery store made by Tyson. I was surprised that the nuggets were plentiful in the basket (8 nuggets with a large portion of fries). Our burgers were served with lettuce, tomato, and pickles on a homemade Turkish roll and served with a handful of fries. My favorite aspect of the meal was their ice cream that they sold. My husband and I both ordered chocolate scoops with a cone. My oldest son ordered two scoops of vanilla with a raspberry scoop on a cone. We asked for a single scoop of chocolate on a cone for our youngest. The ice cream was the best part of the meal...it was rich, thick, and delicious! Another positive to the cafe was the clean restrooms...huge plus!!! It looked like it had been cleaned recently and smelled decent. Overall, the price of our meal wasn't too terrible...everything came to a total of 64TL...roughly $30 USD, but I don't think I will try this place again. I can sum this up as being a Turkish version of an American Fast Food restaurant with the quality of meat/food. I gave this a 3 star rating overall when the food should have been a 2 star rating. The friendly staff and cleanliness of the restaurant bumped it up to 3 stars....those two things are very hard to come by here it seems. read more
