This understanding was confirmed multiple times. However, on the actual day of closing, I was told that my aunt must be placed on the title/deed in order to proceed. I was put under pressure at the last minute and felt forced to close under terms that were not previously agreed upon. This felt misleading and unprofessional. A decision as serious as property ownership should never be changed at the closing table with no warning. I trusted this company to protect my interests, and instead I was placed in a very difficult legal situation. I've had some good ones, some average & also some very bad ones. All have been straightforward list & sell relationships with no consideration of the personal side of purchasing or selling a home which are two major life-changing events. Marc Elias is none of those. He works with both buyers & sellers on a personal basis with a complete understanding of the emotional impact on his clients. He is knowledgeable, efficient & most importantly trustworthy. He always keeps his client's needs & considerations in mind during the entire buying/selling process. As a side note, he helped my wife & I through a very traumatic process of selling our home in NC with his advice & counseling even though he had no financial interest in the selling process. That's just the kind of person he is. I didn't hesitate to use him as our selling agent for our condominium in New Albany. We were dramatically down-sizing & moving to a retirement community in Nevada. Marc on his own personally helped us with the downsizing effort as well as the selling process. He was head & shoulders above any other agent I've ever worked with. He knew the market well & provided invaluable insight into the pricing strategy for our area. He was actually going to go door-to-door in the neighborhood to notify residents of our condo for sale after the listing came out but didn't need to as an offer presented itself within days of the listing. But that's the kind of selling effort he practices for his clients. He also worked with us & helped guide us through the whole selling process with the buyer & title company., making sure our interests were protected.
