Over the years, I've spent $100s at this place. Waterpipes, bowls, blunt wraps, cleaning supplies, etc., etc. The service is generally friendly and courteous. It's locally owned, so it is the first place I go to because I like to keep things local whenever I am able. This latest experience however has left a very bad taste in my mouth... I've never had a personal-sized vape device that holds bud, so I bought one there for around $80. The girl who sold it said I could use a regular phone charger since the device comes only with the USB cable. Within two weeks, the device failed. I searched online for troubleshooting, and found this is a very common occurrence. Hoping to just swap it out for another unit, I went back to Rolling Fire to discuss the matter. Immediately, upon mentioning the issue, the man told me that I have to contact the manufacturer because Rolling Fire is a Buyer Beware shop. The last time I was at a "No Refunds or Exchanges" place was at a flea market. This guy operates his business as if he is at fly-by-night flea market table. He is a part of the community. He can't just up an move his business so he should be good to the people who keep him open. He told me I used the wrong kind of charger. I told him I used what the girl who sold it to me recommended and he just shrugged his shoulders and pointed to the "No Refunds or Exchanges" sign. I asked the guy if he could just contact his supplier because he's clearly buying faulty units and this is bad for business, but he just kept referring to their Buyer Beware policy. I realize this is partially my own fault for thinking I could speak some sense into the guy, but Rolling Fire does not back up their products at all. A business that doesn't stand behind what they sell is not worthy of my hard-earned funds. Anyone looking to buy something mechanical should seriously look to ebay or other online sellers. It would have cost them next to nothing to call the supplier to ask for a replacement. Not only that, but Rolling Fire would have gained loyalty from me that is difficult to break. She took the time to listen to me and help me figure out exactly what kind of device I was looking for. I've been there several times and, while their products May range between just a decent and very good, I could never find fault In their excellent customer service. I have been going to this place and spending plenty of money for years, more than a decade at least. My last purchase was a $140 glass piece that, upon getting home, had a chip in the hitter piece which made the hole way too large to not lose copious amounts of flower through. I brought it back, the next day as it was closed by the time I found the issue, and the worker wouldn't replace the hitter, told me it was my fault, that I did it and pointed to a sign, several times, that read "no refunds or exchanges". I wasn't looking for a refund nor exchange, I wanted a replacement for the obviously inferior build of the piece. Now, instead of replacing it with a $12 piece to appease a long time customer, they get no more of my money ever and this wonderful review. To the owner, I know it wasn't you that did this, it was a heavy set dark haired man with a long goatee and horrible business sense. As I left I said to him, "I hope this was worth it." 2 purchases, 6 years apart. The first one snapped within a week -- my fault, I thought. Tried again years later, and noticed a crack in the glass right out of the bag at home. I'm expecting it to break any moment. You MUST thoroughly inspect their glass for cracks and flaws before purchasing. If you ask for help, their employees will panic and recite their "No returns / No exceptions" policy before you even have a chance to explain your problem. It doesn't matter if it's clean and unused -- they will not help you. No exceptions. Maybe if you offer to buy a more expensive one instead? Nope - no exceptions. You're paying a premium price here and it's definitely not for high quality or local customer service -- it's for a fancy design by a local artist. They do nice looking work, but don't be distracted by the artist-worship sales pitch and colorful swirls while you're there.
