The second time, some of my friends got there first and were unable to get inside. I believe there were 3 guys and 4 girls. The staff said that they were having a private event. My 2 girl friends and I tried entering later that night and we were able to get in, so that means they were just lying about having a private event. The music wasn't even good. We left and went to HI Life and had a better night there. Even if you split into smaller groups, you would still have a hard time getting in especially if you are male.

The music ranges from 80s, 90s pop to house, simple, yet easy to dance to and not so loud that it's hard to talk to your friends. The drinks are a bit of a hit/miss, especially the cocktails but I find this quite natural for a bar/club here in Stuttgart. Since it's right next to a club, it can get pretty crowded, but not too much that it gets annoying. If you come during the weekdays, maybe a little early, the place is quite empty, which can be a good second stage for a light drink with some light music. The seating arrangements can be comfortable, as long as it doesn't get TOO crowded, which in that case, it's better to just stand up or dance. Very casual, comfortable, maybe a bit hipster even. Not too young, but not so old you feel like you are falling asleep. The bar also hosts mini concerts by bands from different cities and countries, which makes it fun to enjoy with a nice drink. Overall, I like Schocken and can't point my finger to anything extremely terrible. The hit/miss cocktails were the reason for the four stars.

Then it was a 30 minute walk to the dorms. We've been to the other clubs nearby but this was the best one. The music and vibe is great. They have rnb and hip hop music as well as latina night. The music caters to international ERASMUS students. Drinks are cool too. The staff do not discriminate like at the nearby clubs. They have a coat check area.

Warning: dark skinned people not allowed inside this discotheque…read more We were 3 of us, dressed nicely with blazers and bow tie, and we were even ready to pay the entrance fee, but the bouncer straight away stopped us and said you guys are not allowed inside. But when I called up in phone to enquire about the entrance, they said you can just pay the entrance and we can let you in. So it's quite contradictory how they work. The bouncers straight away stopped us from entering, saying you aren't allowed inside, period, seeing our dark skinned faces, whereas the other people were allowed inside without any objection
