My two year old daughter Rocio started at Rodi Daycare in October 2013. She is a spirited kid and her mother language is Spanish, so we were concerned about her adjustment process. Also, since I am very demanding, (I am a teacher myself and have a second degree in psyco-pedagogy) I was a bit worried with starting at a recently launched daycare. My fears quickly vanished, since her teachers, Sonila and Eva, did an excellent job at assisting her with this transition: Rocio adjusted quickly and is very happy. I am amazed at how much they are able to teach Rocio and how much she enjoys learning and being at the school. Also, I am SO happy with the care and love Sonila and Eva show to the kids, and her professionalism. Sometimes they even learn Spanish idioms to make Rocio feel important and loved. The curriculum and activities are professionally planned, and Sonila has a daily and personal interaction with each parent. Rodica, the director is such a nice person: she puts her heart and soul in making sure every child is thriving, while managing smoothly the daycare, so we feel at the daycare as at home. I would definitely give my highest recommendation to Rodi Daycare. We are looking forward to enroll our second daughter for the next year! read more

Both of my kids (ages 2 and 3.5) have been at Rodi for almost 6 months and I have only great things to say about it. We have experienced other daycares in our area (and nannies) but Rodi is the greatest place where both my kids are shining and happy to go to school every morning. Both of my kids are socializing and building beautiful friendships with other kids. My kids grew so much across the board (vocabulary, behavior, focus etc). The curriculum is age appropriate and they both surprise me with the new stuff they learn each day. The staff is beyond amazing. Friendly, patient and provides the warmth and love that little kids need (my oldest constantly talking about her teachers). I get daily reports via email about each kid: what they did, how they felt, what they ate, their naps etc. Each week I also receive pictures, so even though I work during the day, I am still aware of what my kids are doing at school. In addition, they also have occasional (and affordable!) school trips to places like Central Park Zoo and the circus which expands the learning experience (and fun!) beyond the classroom.I highly recommend Rodi and I am glad my family made the decision to have my two babies there. read more

As a stay at home mom for several years I decided to send my daughter Kylie to preschool. I was hesitant at first not knowing what to expect. As soon as I met with Mrs. Rodica she put my concerns at ease. When I first walked into Rodi it was so bright and light and I loved the beautiful murals on the wall. Mrs. Rodica went over the curriculum with me and the daily schedule. I was so happy that the children were offered piano and music classes. The teachers were so loving and caring I knew my daughter would be taken care of and put my mind at ease. I received a daily report of how Kylie was doing in class and her daily activities. If I had any questions or concerns I was always able to call or email and got an answer within minutes. I'm so happy that my daughter was there when Rodi first opened its doors and to still see it thriving today is a testament to the Director Mrs. Rodica and its teachers. Having and rasing a first baby as a working mom was not easy for me, but Rody Day Care was our best choice for my 2 years old, girl to start early childhood program. I always can see teachers having so much love to childrens. Not only that, they have organized schedules, diverse classes to have lots of learning, playing and enjoying. Every week they have projects, painting, music, zumba, stroy time, based on every week's theme. Also I am very happy to read daily update about her daily activities and weekly update about weekly theme, sent by Ms Sonila, chief of educator in Rody Day Care. I can actually see her acitivites from lots of pictures via web. They have very open line of communication between teachers and parents. Thank you so much to all teachers, staffs in Rodi Day Care. My daughters started at Rodi when they were 2 and 3 years old. I LOVE Rodi. The academic and social progress that my girls have made since attending Rodi has been incredible. The daily and weekly updates from Rodi let us know that they are providing a strong foundation for learning. Our younger daughter has gone from saying a handful of words to forming complete sentences on a regular basis which means that she has fewer tantrums and I have more of my sanity. Our older daughter is recognizing more and more words and is well on her way to reading on her own. The teachers at Rodi are bursting with love and enthusiasm. It is very clear that they love every child in their care. As a parent, there is nothing more gratifying and comforting than knowing that your children are at a school where they are safe, loved and learning. For me, that school is Rodi. read more

My son, Noah has been attending Rodi Day Care Center since July 8th, 2013. He is currently 2 years old and went from being home with a nanny to attending Rodi. The transition went so smooth and I have to credit Sonila and Rodi for their nurturing, attentive, and kind ways with children. I didn't know what to expect since he's never been in this type of setting and these teachers made it so easy for Noah to become acclimated to his new surroundings. I'm very pleased with the curriculum and all that they have to offer. Noah enjoys participating and is learning so much in the short time that he's been here. I fully recommend Rodi Day Care to any parent that is considering enrolling their child in a early child care program. Rodi day care is a fun, safe, loving environment for kids. Our child has been there for a year and we have been very pleased with her experience. Indoor and outdoor play crafts, creative play, and making friends, our child has been developing beautifully while at Rodi. On the weekend she talks about her friends and the teachers, she is excited to see them on Monday and show them something special. Daily communication from the teacher let's me know what they did in the class each day so I can talk about it with my daughter. Rodica is great with communication, always available to talk about any concerns. It's clear she loves all the kids and is dedicated to making sure they are doing well while in her care. read more

this place is very unprofessional. they let all the kids scream and cry while the two workers text on their phone and do nothing. the workers are all unlicensed and are more interested in texting that watching the children. also, a revolving door. there are new workers every two weeks. the owner is shady and racist unless the color of money is involved. it is a dirty place with rodents running around the play area at night and they clean once every couple of months. don't put your children here. ALSO, THEY ARE IN DEFAULT JUDGMENT - THE OWNERS HAVE THEIR PASSPORTS BEING HELD BY A JUDGE BECAUSE THEY ARE IN CONTEMPT OF COURT. Every day our three-and-a-half-year-old son looks forward to Rodi Daycare. He likes his teacher very much, he likes the other kids, the games they play, and the things they learn. Our "difficult" son has flourished under the guidance of the staff at Rodi, and we feel very lucky to have found such a caring and professional group of daycare providers. This has been our first experience with daycare and we've been so pleasantly surprised that our son is learning as much as he would in a preschool while also enjoying the safety and loving attention of a first-rate daycare environment. My Son has been attending Rodi for the past couple of years. It was absolutely the right choice for our family. The kind, warm, and loving atmosphere is exactly what we were looking for when we signed up. Daily reports and weekly pictures provide a peek into their daily life. I toured several places in Riverdale and this was my very favorite. I am so glad I found this place for my daughter (2 year old), she started 6 months ago and I have ZERO complaints, they have a great and safe environment for the kids, all teachers and aides are just amazingly nice. They have a very structured and fun way for the kids to learn. Zoe has learned lots. I couldn't have asked for a better place to have my daughter in. My daughter attended Rodi Daycare and we were extremely satisfied with the care she received. They are warm and friendly and very well organized. The setting is just the right size so it is not too overwhelming and they are able to give attention to each child. My child has been enrolled at Rodi for the past 3 months. We recently moved to riverdale and my son had previously been under the care of a nanny. His transition could not be better.
