One thing I like about Schocken is the music. Stuttgart is known for its hip hop, but for a bar/…read moreclub, it can get a bit hard to dance to. The music ranges from 80s, 90s pop to house, simple, yet easy to dance to and not so loud that it's hard to talk to your friends.
The drinks are a bit of a hit/miss, especially the cocktails but I find this quite natural for a bar/club here in Stuttgart.
Since it's right next to a club, it can get pretty crowded, but not too much that it gets annoying. If you come during the weekdays, maybe a little early, the place is quite empty, which can be a good second stage for a light drink with some light music. The seating arrangements can be comfortable, as long as it doesn't get TOO crowded, which in that case, it's better to just stand up or dance. Very casual, comfortable, maybe a bit hipster even. Not too young, but not so old you feel like you are falling asleep.
The bar also hosts mini concerts by bands from different cities and countries, which makes it fun to enjoy with a nice drink. Overall, I like Schocken and can't point my finger to anything extremely terrible. The hit/miss cocktails were the reason for the four stars.
