Updated review: Ok, so I pretty quickly got an apology from the company. Apparently there was a problem with their online scheduling system, even though they did indeed have me scheduled for Friday, as I thought. Weird. Anyway, I'm giving back three stars (on top of the original one star) for four total because they got back to me quickly and it does look like the job sealing up the house to prevent rodent entry was done well. Original review: Original estimate went fine. But crew showed up Tuesday to do the work when thet weren't scheduled to come until Friday. I had already arranged with my work to take Friday off specifically so I could be home to deal with the crew. I was already at work more than 40 minutes away when some random person left a message on my cell that they were on the way to my home. That was the only attempt the company made to contact me. This left only my elderly mother home to deal with the crew. She let them in but she is too ill to understand what they were doing or why, nor why she was writing a check for someone (which apparently was demanded of her at the end of the day.) Maybe they're just careless with scheduling but this was shady AF. Be very careful if you choose to hire them. read more

Love this company. Not only were they extremely quick to respond, schedule an appointment and fix my pest problem but the entire process was easy and efficient. They are experts through and through as they identified the problem areas in the first appointment and then their army of experts came out and took the exact steps to get rid of the pests and insure they would not come back. OMG. These guys are awesome!!!! We had a really strange smell coming into our master bathroom. We called Rodent Masters based on Yelp reviews and it's very obvious why they have 5 stars. We scheduled a free estimate for two days from the day I called. As promised, I received a 30 minutes ETA phone call from Max and he arrived promptly. He looked around and under our home thoroughly and quickly understood the issue. He gave me a clear idea of what's going on and our options. Now for the more than extraordinary part...he pretty much sold me on not paying him to do the work. He said I can totally do it myself and showed me what to do. He did some preventative measures to help alleviate the horrible smell we have (which he explained is unfortunately a dead rat in our insulation or under the flooring...gross!) and placed a trap down and showed me how to place some more. He also showed me how to seal everything up so they can't get back under our home. And you wouldn't believe this but I literally tried shoving money in his pocket and he wouldn't accept it. What: A month after moving into my new home, my family and I found a dead rat in our pool - at first, I was grossed out, and then I soon became angry. I kept thinking, "This is my house, not theirs!" Two of their team members spent 2.5 hours in the crawl spaces rechecking to make sure all the entry points were meshed and put mesh in new areas the rats had burrowed through. I had a small Rat Issue in my roof, so I asked a couple of companies to come out and take a look. Some companies did not want to quote me in writing and others did. After receiving the quote from Rodent Masters, I thought it was fair and reasonable quote for the work needing to be performed, I was quoted a lower price, but I felt they were offering a long term service of a warranty and placing of traps and coming by and checking on the traps in the event any rodents were hiding during the work they were performing plus a 5 year warranty. The crew was great who came out and the lead Giovanni was great communicating with me during the work being performed and they were very clean and tidy after the work was performed. I got quotes from four different companies. The first three tried to upsell me on replacing all insulation even though it was fairly new. Rodent Masters was the only company who told me I really only needed to replace about 200 ft.² of the insulation. I had an extra roll in the attic and they were happy to put it down for me! After trying to solve my household rodent problem with 2 other companies and every type of trap before Rodent Stop I can tell you they are the very best. They provided a full and complete inspection and estimate to get started. They were the only ones who actually looked everywhere necessary to solve my problem. Many companies I had called charging me $80 and up for an assessment, when I saw a rat in the garden of the house I was sitting , I wanted to know for sure if they were they came from, and how to explain this situation. They were my first estimate after finding a rat in my kitchen and recommended the - ahem - "discounted" rate of $1500 to rat proof and trap out my rat problem that was apparently on the brink of exploding into a bunch of rats (per them). They claimed I had a very active infestation. It didn't sit right in my gut despite being very anxious about having just seen a rat in my kitchen the day before, so I continued to get more estimates and talk to more professionals. After getting another few estimates, I learned they lied to me completely. NONE of the debris they claimed was fresh actually *was* fresh -- it was VERY old, in fact. And just for rat-proofing, I could have had that done for easily half their price. But they do a "bundled" price, which means they won't do anything without doing the whole thing. $1500 "discounted" rate. And, in my case, it would have been to address a nonexistent problem. And, because it's all in one "bundle" rather than separated services, they also refused to lay a single trap without doing the sealing work - which I've since learned from literally every other rat professional I spoke with is a terrible idea if you do, indeed, have a major issue. The rats can start eating their way to new places if you seal them in without enough traps to kill them off right away. Yikes! Other companies recommend trapping for a week or two before sealing so you don't run into that issue. It's a very vulnerable feeling when you see a rat in your kitchen and want to get the problem handled as quickly as possible. But do yourself a favor and get multiple estimates so you find out the real deal. I see a lot of 5-star reviews here, but they are not as trustworthy as that might suggest. It turns out I had one opportunistic, rogue rat who came through a gap-y dog door for some newly introduced puppy food that I left open. (That's been fixed.) I have no other activity going on anywhere else - including the attic/basement. I even had traps laid just in case and there's no activity at all. Anywhere. Buyer beware. If you look through my reviews, there's another company I worked with to help me, and they were VERY honest. They also saved me $1500. Good luck! read more

We had a pretty bad infestation of rats in our attic. Been having rodent problems in our attic and basement for the past eight years, and I've hired two different companies and set traps on my own, so I was hesitant to pay another company to try and eradicate the problem. However, when I had Max from Rodent Masters over to assess our house, he was in the attic and crawl space with a flashlight to find where the points of entry where as soon as he arrived. So, after agreeing to work with him, he brought over his whole crew on a Saturday and they spent about six hours rodent proofing the premises and vacuuming the droppings that have accumulated over the years. I got inspections from 3 different companies and Rodent Masters was by far the most thorough, honest & reasonable. Its not often that you find a company that does exactly what they say they will do. Rodent Masters does exactly that, They said they would get rid of the rats and they did! Their free estimate included pictures of our attic that revealed we had a pretty big problem up there. There is nothing more disturbing then sharing your home with unwanted visitors! They sent their team in( a very efficient group of guys) they very neatly sealed up all the possible entry points. Then they removed all of the contaminated insulation, set the traps and came back to check them and remove the dead rats every couple of days until there was no longer anything in the traps to remove. There was a small hiccup when they came out to re-install our attic insulation with the wrong material, but they quickly fixed the problem and got the correct insulation. I got in my car one day and it wouldn't start. It had to be towed to the dealer and they found that rats had set up shop and ate my wires. That night my husband saw 2 run by the bushes next to the house by where I park my car and then we saw a few on the wall by our pool. Yuck. I read the reviews and called Rodent Masters. I dealt with Jay. They came out and gave us a quote free of charge. It was very reasonable compared to all the other companies I researched. Previously - I had used another attic sanitation/ rodent proof-ing / insulation replacement company. But year after year - a wiley raccoon would ALWAYS find its way back into our attic and walls. I made an appointment with Jay to have my attic inspected for possible rat infestation ( we've been hearing noises every now and again). Max arrived on time and I explained the situation. He first evaluated the exterior of my home immediately and then continued inside and up to the attic. After about 20 minutes he came down and gave me his professional opinion and assured me that the noise was coming from the outside of the house or on top of the roof. Just in case, he offered to leave a few traps for me for free, which was a very nice gesture. I had other exterminators come over and give me an estimate. They breezed through, gave me a quick quote, and then took off. The Rodent Masters guy came over and took close to an hour in my house, going into the attic and the crawl spaces and basement as well as walking all around the house. I even heard him up on the roof. He was painstaking in gathering the information before I was given a quote. My house is large and old. When the workers showed up, they were courteous and professional and efficient. It takes time to free a house from rodents as it is a step-wise process. Every worker who showed up to periodically make sure the rats were truly gone before new insulation was put in (the rats nest in the insulation, so this has to be removed) was pleasant and thorough. It was evident to me that it was important to them to do a good job. Rodent Masters also has the longest warranty of any of the companies I contacted. I recommend this company without any hesitation.
