I should have just gone to Hush to begin with. I went to Angela with a desperate "CAN YOU FIX THIS?" Yes she can. The re-cut cost me $49, Angela listened to what I wanted and I walked out feeling a million times better than when I walked in. My cut was contemporary and my hair stayed that 'hairdresser shiny' for a good week. A lady had highlights done whilst I was in there and they looked wicked, I'll definitely be going back form my next colour. The staff are all really friendly, it's a nice relaxed salon but they do a good job.

When I lived in Sydney I found it so hard to find a decent hairdresser and I'm so glad since moving to NZ I found this salon. I feel good when I walk out of the salon and they are very reasonably priced, about $55 for a shampoo, cut and blow-dry. I'm going to have my colour done there next time. My Mum has been to Damian for a shampoo and blow-dry and really likes him and I know another friend goes to him and likes the way he cuts.

When I advised Lana what I wanted in a the way of a minor cut, and just a little shaping in the back, I thought she had listened and would do as requested. A quick 11 minutes later, she was done cutting my hair, and cut way more off than I had requested. Not the end of the world, but, her eagerness to cram customers in, and out, may be impacting the quality of her work. I certainly don't need "good bedside manner", but I also felt that I was just another number. $20 for a mens' cut. There another stylist in town, and a barber on the same block. I will not be back.

Mirrors is a busy little salon, smack bang in the middle of Warkworth. I went in for the "take as…read morelittle as possible" treatment ie. get rid of all these split ends but don't cut my hair like a boy. Some hairdressers won't take notice of that, but I was stoked to walk out with most of my length remaining. They were friendly and chatty, and it was a nice relaxed salon. My little sister has an unruly mop of curls; hairdressers usually shudder as she walks through the door. My usual gauge of a hairdresser is whether they try to brush her mop. Although this is hilarious (to me) it turns her into an extreme fizz-bomb, and once brushed there's no salvation. I was impressed to see there was no hair brush in sight. Her blonde highlights were really good too, a perfect job by Sharon!

She is very meticulous; your body hair does not stand a chance against her. She has also done my eyebrows and does a great job. I have no fear of leaving with no eyebrows at all, which some beauty therapists tend to do. Her salon is tucked away at the back of XS hair and is a cute little room. It has a nice relaxed feel, lovely and tidy with relaxing music playing which I really liked. Lisa is very friendly and professional, I would highly recommend her!
