Ram Glass installed a glass shower door at our place in Estes Park. My wife was cleaning the glass with a cloth when it unexpectedly shattered on her. It scared her quite a bit and her arms and legs were covered with cuts and scrapes from the falling glass. I'm told this is a very rare event. Ram Glass was able to get a free glass shower door replacement from the glass manufacturer they use, but the amount they charged to drive it to our house and install it was over $400. Given what happened and given that it is a rare event, I'm surprised that they wouldn't want to take care of their customer by covering the cost of the replacement install.

He estimated 6 weeks for the door to arrive. 6 weeks later on the dot, the installation took place. All appointments were scheduled and conducted on time with highly competent, efficient and friendly employees. Casey and Mark arrived, covered the work area and carpet, and two hours later we had a new smooth operating, clear see-thru, sturdy sliding glass door in place. Extreme disappointment regarding the quality and installation of the 18 Simonton windows I…read morepurchased from JDI. The overall product quality is unsatisfactory, and the installation was subpar. I continue to experience drafts and excessive noise through all the windows. The amount of noise I receive from planes (I live nowhere near an airport) and cars is crazy; it was never like this with my old builder grade windows. Furthermore, the caulking is very sloppy. The owner said he was ok with the work and threatened to place a lien on my property the day after the windows were installed if I didn't pay, even though I was not satisfied. Following the owner's suggestion, I completed a Home Energy Audit. I have attached a few photos from that audit which clearly demonstrate significant temperature differences. I have also attached videos demonstrating the air leakage using a fog machine.(I can't attach all the pictures and videos I have and would be happy to share) After I called the troubleshooter radio show, the owner sent a crew to insulate three of the windows that I felt were the worst (which helped a little). I was then asked to pay for the insulation of the remaining windows. It is unclear why new windows would be installed without proper spray foam insulation in the first place. Additionally, two of the windows still do not close or lock correctly, even after the sashes were replaced twice. Given my significant investment, this has been a regrettable experience.

He let me watch, video and pester them with questions on a window install so I could learn and do other windows myself (ya right, like that'll ever happen. I'll wait to save up and just call Lomax again). You should know that I do a ton of investigation and research. Looked into 5-6 other options and had 3-4 other reps come and give me their pitch. Everything from Anderson high end, to Home depot mid range to the cheapest of the cheap places to just replace the glass etc. I found Lomax to be the sweet spot; *very* good quality window for the price ... Sierra pacific. We love everything about them (pop/tilt in to wash, lip to open, smooth track, edge and overall design is very nice, warranty etc). We replaced 20 windows (3 big, 14 med, 3 small) including 3rd story with sloping hill (hard to reach), 4 stucco windows (very difficult with stucco bands). They were done in 2 1/2 days. Very courteous, laid down mats and plastic over everything, moved our furniture, took down and replaced blinds, washed the windows, vacuumed and cleaned up after themselves. Even gave suggestions and advise on other renovations projects we asked about. All told 20 windows for about $16K (discounts for doing more than 5 windows). Overall feels like I've put on a fresh pair of underwear that makes me happy and will last me another 20 years.

I've had WestPro come quote the same job twice, once in 2023 and once in 2025. It was two very…read moredifferent experiences to the point of being hard to believe it's the same company. The job is for removal and replacement of soffits, fascia, gutters and downspouts on a 1-story ranch with 200 linear feet of gutters. In 2023 a woman came out, did the walk through and then sent me a quote with details about the materials, a cost breakdown for each part of the project - quantity and cost for removal of gutters, removal of downspouts, installation of gutters, installation of downspouts. It was very professional (I work with contractors and job bids for a living) and provided all the necessary details of the cost. In 2023 they refused to address the soffit and fascia so I declined to move forward with them. In 2025 a man came out, did the walk through and then insisted on setting up a follow up appointment to walk through the project quote. I did not receive the info packet ahead of time and was disappointed by what I received - a detailed project description for siding work (presumably for the soffits and fascia but the material was specific to siding installation which isn't relevant to either of those locations) with no scoped quote for any aspect of the project. There were no details of the materials to be used or breakdown of the cost specifics. The dollar amounts were hand written into a spec sheet of "good / better / best" (photo attached because I don't even know what to call it, it's definitely not a job quote). I understand that materials costs have changed significantly and the job might cost more today than two years ago, but if you're going to waste my time with a second meeting to quote the job, actually quote the job. So your experience with WestPro may entirely depend upon the person you randomly end up with as your project coordinator. Homeowner be wary. I'll update this review when I've heard back with legit quotes and decisions on a path forward. For now it's a very unimpressed meh.
