Not surprisingly, an entire sprinkler zone was not working. The owner Jake returned the phone call and immediately started yelling, and screaming like an unhinged lunatic. Instead of trying to understand what information I was asking for he started screaming and using foul language. It was a rather frightening experience on the telephone, and Jake the owner seemed to lack any control over his anger. I've read some of the glowing recommendations from other people and it makes me wonder if maybe he's normal when everything goes his way but when confronted with potential problems who knows what this explosive guy is capable of.

I called and he was to our house to review in just a few days. He needed a programmer and offered us a choice of standard or Wi-Fi. We went with the Wi-Fi and he came back a few days later to install. He did great work and ensured that the app was working. The tree that killed our sprinkler head required him to cut the root of the tree. I could not believe the size of what he pulled out. Such a great guy and looked to make sure that the entire yard was in good shape.

I had Matt B (Nephew of Jim - Owner) at my home yesterday to service our 8 zone system as our Rain Bird System had an error code. He came out assessed we had a dead solenoid, as well as some heads that required service, and a necessary new pipe and irrigation installation. His initial estimate was on the high end but he later explained to me that it was secondary to potential increase in time (charge by hour), should they encounter tree roots, etc. Made sense to me. The eventual price was quite competitive. I had already written a check for the high end estimate, and gave it to him. When he finished the job, he actually handed it back to me telling me the bill would be ~ $100 less! He could have totally kept the extra money and I would not have known differently. Talk about fairness and honesty! To say we are thrilled with this company is an understatement. Thank you Agape!

As I slowed to about 25 mph to turn into my neighborhood, their driver tailgated me, crossed the double yellow line, and honked aggressively. Our yard was unsaveable and the HOA was breathing down our necks. We bit the bullet and got 3…read moreestimates to have the old sod removed and new sod replaced. We chose Madewell because they were reasonably priced and didn't try to BS us like the other two. Not sure why some contractors think eveyone is ignorant just because they dont want to be bothered with doing the job themselves. We did our homework. This was a 3 stage process. Stage one...spay and kill off the the old grass and weeds. Stage 2...the next week they removed all the old dead grass and weeds. Stage 3...laying of the new sod, which actually happened over a month later because of COVID-19 and waiting for good healthy sod. They also adjusted all the sprinklers if needed to make sure there was adequate coverage. The sod was delivered from the sod company and looked beautiful and healthy. We watered for 30 min, 2x a day for a month. Our lawn is absolutely beautiful and healthy and by week 3 had already taken to the soul. We get compliments all the time. My neighbors are probably just happy not be looking at a dirt yard any longer. Things that I found issue with along the way: clean-up wasn't as good as I would have liked, but I am very particular; and communication was not the best. Despite that, I couldn't be happier with the end result.
