After checking on Yelp for a professional group, I received a few calls regarding my need. I wasn't able to use the first contact and initially thought I was not going to be able to use the second company, but boy am I extremely happy I did. Mr. Santos was "Johnny on the spot". He was very professional via our text messages and answered all of my questions. He was also the first of two or three respondents who actually came to the location to give me a free quote. And he actually came the day we text. After carefully weighing my options, I chose Santos. He and his crew all arrived prior to the scheduled time of around 8am. He speaks Spanish and English, while his crew spoke Spanish. They had all of their equipment setup and had started cutting the tree limbs before I left for work. My husband is retired, so he was home to observe. They did not stop for a break until after 1:00pm for lunch and to dispose of the tree parts already loaded on their trailer. When I arrived home from work (between 330-345pm) the tree was no longer standing and they were cutting the last of the trunk in sections in order to load it for disposal. They even moved a couple of pieces of the trunk to our carport to use for a project. My husband and I were extremely happy with the work and were very appreciative of the service that was provided by Santos' Hauling and Demolition. At my Mom's house, they removed a very large tree…read morethat was leaning over her house, and at my house, they removed a smaller tree and trimmed a lot of large branches over my roof and lawn. They were prompt with return calls, on time for both the estimate and work appointments, and were very courteous and professional. Their price was extremely reasonable. It was the lower of two estimates received for each of the jobs. The tree at my mom's house was in a precarious position between two houses, and they did a good job protecting both of the properties. They were flexible and great to work with. When they arrived to work at my house, I asked if they could take down a couple more branches in addition to what we originally discussed at the estimate. They also found another, somewhat larger, dead branch that needed to be removed that I had not noticed. They took care of all of those additional items that same day at a great, re-negotiated cost. They also cut down a dead stump I requested at the last minute at no additional cost. On the very large oak tree that needed trimming over my lawn, they took the time to discuss with me which branches might need to come down to get more sunlight on the lawn and to look aesthetically pleasing. They had me review the work as it progressed, to ensure my satisfaction, and I was able to request to remove a couple more limbs, which they took care of. The results were beautiful! They were very careful with their bucket truck so as not to damage my yard, and the clean-up after the job was more than thorough. I had trimmed some shrubs that morning as they were working, and they even picked up the branches I had trimmed myself when they were cleaning! Wow! There was no sign of sawdust on my driveway when they left. This is an excellent company to work with! As a single woman taking care of a home (and my mom's), I felt that I got a very fair deal and that they completed their work with integrity and an old-fashioned work ethic that you don't see much anymore.
