I do love that we are one of the few high schools that have a football bowl and our tack and filed isn't combined. -The teachers are the BEST here! Our favorite spot is the DOG PARK on the south end of the soccer field. Despite the constant struggle to keep the grass nice, it has recently been remodeled adding features for the dogs to play on. Lengthwise long enough to play a good game of fetch with your pooch to tire them out or just let them play with the mix of other dogs. Most owners here are friendly, supportive, and helpful. Some have even donated toys, scoopers, bags, etc to make this place nice for visitors. **Reminder- It's best to unleash your dog before entering the inner gate AND to keep an eye on them while they play so that nobody gets out of hand(Dogs will be dogs).** This really does seem like the most effective method of helping your dog become socialized with people and other dogs. Some dogs are more cautious, fearful, protective, or defensive by nature or the way they have been treated in the past. Being most impressionable in their early months, it is important to begin exposing them to many of the things you want them to be comfortable with. Of course they need to have their shots first, but around 3-4 months old, they may be ready to start venturing into the dogpark and begin trying out other good experiences (neighborhood walks, car rides, meeting friends animals, training classes, and of course bathing/grooming at home or business). [Check out my review of Top Dog Pet Wash] I would also recommend Woodward Park dog park for ppl with large, small, or new dogs. Although much bigger than Beamer, it has separate enclosed areas to help your pup acclimate to this new environment. From the moment you inquire about programs on their site, you get a recruiter who will follow up quickly about any questions. Parker was my university rep and he was so easy to talk to and ALWAYS answered quickly. Kayla Wood keeps everyone on track and makes sure no one slips behind, she will email about hour logs, insurance, fingerprints, etc. They make it impossible to leave you behind in the dust, even if life is kicking you! The real reason I'm writing this is to recognize Olivia Cavillo. Amazing isn't a good enough word to describe her. She has been my professor, my program director, my university supervisor for practicum, and so many other roles in my life. Instead of meeting a bunch of different staff members through different phases, she is the one constant in the program. It is so nice and refreshing every year to see a familiar face. It becomes kind of like a family. She is easy to talk to, understands the chaos of life, and genuinely wants to support her students in every way possible. I'm not sure how she has the time to do all of these different roles and she still manages to give each student her 100%. I'm really grateful for the staff members at this University. Professor Ronald Pekarek is amazing at what he does in his world of behavioral analysis. I have learned so much from the staff members here and I look up to each and every one of them. The instruction from Carlos, and Ann gave me the head knowledge and hands on experience to be successful in my work and go on to be a trainer at my job to be able to help others perform at their best. Learning the proper techniques and helpful skills I needed set me up for success in my work and I thrived in this career so easily. Taking my state exam I was prepared and had everything I needed with their guidance. This class is absolutely for you if you want to truly learn, put in effort, and strive for excellence that will benefit you in the entirety of your career and your life. The externship I had was a great experience in a hospital setting and I learned so much that now benefits me as I pursue the medical career further with eyes that have more experience than others have had the opportunity of in my same position due to this education. I created this account just today to inform anyone interested in knowing. When I found out they closed down and I wanted to see if other people had similar horrible experience has I did. I was flabbergasted when I found a review (3 reviews down) under my name. Which they misspelled my first name as Destiny. Then wrote a "glowing" review of experience "I" had during my time there. I knew it was "me" because of the name, I did attending during July 2021 and they had information about previous courses I've taken they got from the resume I GIVEN THEM WHEN I APPLIED HERE. I was horrified they had the audacity to do this. I hope no joined the program because of that review. My personal experience there was fine until the end where Ann (who I am confident wrote 'my review') treated me extremely unprofessional and shouted at me where students right next to us heard everything, when I stated I couldn't do externship hours during the week she gave me and asked if reschedule them another week. I have never had anyone treated me the way she had to me and actually demotivated me to continue a career as a Phlebotomist. Anyways, just wanted to warn everyone they wrote fake reviews under previous students name and taken information they had from their records. I'm glad they shut down.
