This town is famous because of its beauty, it's cliffside glamour, nestled on the river, and for it's saxophone history. The inventor of the Saxophone was born here. Saxophones from multiple countries cross a bridge and attract.many visitors. And they even have a Hollywood walk of stars like walk path on the sidewalk with brass foot steps or imprints of feet of famous sax players. Their are other saxophone related facts and displays through the town.
This museum is FREE. It has a bench with a sculpture of Adolf, the inventor. Many people line up to take photos while sitting with the sculpture. There are displays on the floor with dates and facts. They have audio displays for a more interactive set up.
The museum is a small 2 room facility. You can visit in under an hour and see the rest of the towns displays. Make sure to get a Dinant famous cookie with a saxophone design for €3. Many restaurants to choose from. Dinant is home to Leffe, who also have a cafe right across the street from the museum.
