We did not get the doors we wanted, which were plainly stated on the contract. The doors were one color and the frames were another. Some of the doors were measured wrong. You can stick your hand in the cabinet and get what you need without actually opening the door. Lastly, when you open the cabinet doors, there is 4 totally different colors on the shelf trims. Every day this week, I hear I'm coming to finish today, but no one shows up. Started on June 6th. From a one day job, as of July 6th, we are still waiting to finish the job. I should have gone with the other company!!

We noticed little flies in our basement bedroom and knew something was going on behind the gyproc…read more The problem became so severe that we could put our hand through the gyproc. We called Renovco after hearing their ads on CJAD. John & Roger from Renovco came to the rescue and they removed the gyproc and behind the wall was sludge and mold which they had to remove and spray and disenfect. They recommended that we call our own plumber and "Borenstein Plumbers" to the rescue. The problem was a cracked pipe near the ceiling and we don't know how long water was seeping in from our kitchen sink and garburator above. Renovco left a dehumidier in the room for a couple of weeks. Alex was orginally in charge but when Henry came to take over our project, things began moving quickl. We needed the job finished for our guests arriving to use that bedroom. Thank you to a professional and clean staff under the direction of Henry, a very nice and kind man. I contacted Renovco for mold remediation work related to an insurance claim. Sandro came to assess…read morethe project and we decided to hire Renovco to do the entire project. Unfortunately, as the project progressed, significant problems began to arise due to poor workmanship and lack of competent workers. Without letting me know that they were going to gut the kitchen, Dimitri the worker, just dumped everything in opened boxes . they was dust in every box and all my dishes etc had to be washed. When I brought this to Sandro's attention, his answer was we will wash everything, which was never done by them. The ceilings in both the living room and Bedroom were not installed properly and had to be done 3 times. When they were redoing the ceilings, They took the furniture and just dumped it on the leather couches without covering them There was dust everywhere . As they were redoing the entire kitchen, the floor was installed first followed by the cupboards, counter sinks etc. Unfortunately due to lack of competent workmen, the sink pipes were not properly installed and leaked on the tiles which caused them to lift up And the floor had to be redone again. The backslash was installed and again poor installation. They were suppose to paint the living , dining room and bedroom . They just painted the ceilings and part of the walls, I had to fight with Sandro to get him to paint the doors or window sills/radiator covers. As far as painting in the kitchen again, I had to fight to have the doors painted His response was always, it's an insurance claim. I was told in writing that the project would be completed by June 15th at the latest. ( I gave the place I was staying notice that I was leaving on the 13 due to Grand Prix and I went to stay with a friend for 10 days as I had no working kitchen. The kitchen was finally completed in September . When I brought all this to Sandro's attention, his answer was, " in my 20 years working in the business, sometimes there are projects that do not work out the way it was planned and your project was one of them". I could not believe his response.i am extremely disappointed with the handling of the project as well as the quality of the workman ship! I tried on numerous occasions to contact Walter Assi the owner but he never responded.I think they took on more projects then Renovco had workers f.... I would never recommend this company to anyone.

this place is worse than you could imagine…read more.. I've avoided this place for 5 years after they way they treated me one time and recently had a client buy a vanity from them, so I figured what the hell... my wife went to find a vanity and they had what appeared and alleged to be a nice one on liquidation. but the vanity was behind some stock and was claimed to have been pulled out of their showroom because it had been there for a while. 1000$ for a 5' vanity double sink, not a horrible deal. so an employee went to pick it up unaware of what we were expecting. upon delivery the white vanity had 3 different colour of white on it, spray painted, replaced, who the hell knows. after not wanting to take it back because it was in no way a "showroom piece" we opted for the new one.. 2000$ now and this thing is all white. 1 white. however every drawer face is crooked with no adjustment and the doors are all wonky looking too. the left side doors are 1/8" shorter than the right and installed differently. I know this was long. but to summarize stay the hell away from this place like the plague. garbage material for a big ticket price. go to hell Golden. you've now been served a life sentence from me.
