I have always been very anxious about going to the dentist. I can't remember a time I wasn't, even as a kid. I hadn't seen a dentist for about 4 years, before moving to Las Vegas. I have since seen Dr. Sean Trung twice and have another visit scheduled. I can say I have had an amazing experience in this office. The Doctor and staff alike are all very kind and welcoming. They always make sure to get the job done while respecting my comfort level. I haven't met a dentist or staff like this. I always feel so comfortable coming here because I know I'll get good care and my needs will be heard. I've am having extensive work being done and last time I was in the office I received a call after my visit just to make sure I was feeling ok. I don't know any other dentist who do this!! I went to this office a few years ago for an initial visit and evaluation. I was told by the associate dentist (not Dr Lobato) that I needed about $2000 worth of work. I was very skeptical about the diagnosis, so I went to another dentist and a periodontist for follow ups. Both of them said my teeth were great and I did not need any work. It is my opinion that this office is not honest. They kept contacting me to do that work even after I asked them to remove me from all contact lists. read more

If you enjoy being laughed at by the dentist when you come for expensive help, then this is the place for you. This is the third time he's done this to me and I'll never be back. Such tasteless and unprofessional behavior, that was also deeply hurtful and insulting. I've been through hell and back with my teeth since childhood and I've spent tens of thousands of hard earned dollars over the years so the last thing I excepted was to be put down and laughed at by the person that's supposed to help. I'm really offended by Dr. Lobato's repeated behavior. What kind of a bedside manner is that? How disgusting and low class. Another appalling thing he constantly does is mock and degrade the work of all other dentists, as if no one out there knows how to do this work? There are plenty of good dentists in town who will take my money without laughing straight to my face while examining me, and calling my crowns and veneers "cheesy", and such. As someone who has had horrific experiences at Dentist offices before (mainly during extractions) I am not a fan of going to the Dentist. Dr. Truong has restored my confidence in going to the Dentist. He has a wonderful bedside manner, explains everything he is doing, and genuinely cares. The office scheduler is friendly and helpful, every staff member at Dr. Lobato/Dr Truong's office is knowledgeable and eager to help. I have been to the office approx 3 times so far and have appointments scheduled to fix problems I have been putting off. I am so grateful I found this office and feel like I am in great hands. Myself and my entire family used to be patients of Dr. Lobato. I was a patient of his my entire life up until 2012 when I was about 22 years old. I dreaded going into his office because it seemed like every single time they were going to tell me I needed to have some cavity filled and it never made sense or felt right. I'm sure that I did have an occasional one that needed to be done when I was younger, but again, most of the time it never felt right or made sense. The final straw for me was in 2011-2012, they performed a root canal on one of my bottom molars which was absolutely baffling to me. I don't even know that it had a cavity. Fast forward....he left such a bad taste in my mouth that I refused to go to a dentist since that procedure. I have since developed a pretty big cavity on the molar exact opposite of the tooth that they performed the root canal on, so I finally mustered up the courage to go to another dentist. This is over 7 years without seeing a dentist. After examining my teeth, the new dentist showed me the image of the big cavity and it is big. It's getting close to the nerve it's so big and definitely the biggest cavity I've ever had and I know that for a fact. Yet this dentist will be able to fix the cavity with a filling and does not need to perform a root canal. I cannot tell you how infuriated I was when he told me this because I now know that the root canal Dr. Lobato performed on me was absolutely unnecessary and completely unwarranted. As I'm sure we're countless "cavities" that they filled throughout my childhood. While there may be patients out there that have had a good experience, I would STRONGLY suggest to go to another dentist. In my opinion, he is a FRAUD! I'm sure he will try to get this removed and write some bogus response to this because it's a negative review. But I'm hoping that someone will read this and move on to another ethical dentist. There's a reason myself and my entire (very large) family no longer use these "services". And do not try to contact me or anyone in my family because I WILL NOT remove this post. read more

I been assisting to this dentists for the past 3 years Dr. Lobato and the staff are awesome every time. When i have appointments the wait is 2-3 minutes max, the receptionist greats you by your name and let's you know that you will be next and the wait is not long, the waiting room is nice, clean and really private, they take pride of what they do here! I have entrusted my dental care to Dr. Lobato for over 20 years. From simple teeth cleaning to complex crown work, the results have always been great. He and his staff have always treated me like family and are always mindful of never making me wait more than a couple of minutes upon arrival. I recently opted to have my teeth bleached and was skeptical of what he and his staff to do after unsuccessful efforts which I tried on my own, but was astounded at the results! The word is too many dentists are just out to make money whether the patient needs the work or not. Recently moved to Vegas and was most recently seen by old Dentist back in January and over the last 10 years have had a very stable dental history - no decay, no cavities and no major issues - just cleaning every 6 months. On my visit to Dr Lobato - the hygienist was nice until she starting trying to "sell" me on dental procedures that I need. They were very thorough with X-rays and pictures and prodding around. Then the Dr comes in to do his examination which was hilarious. He makes my dental situation out as if I'd never seen a dentist in the last 10 years and I need major restorative work - replace all my filings because they are buckling or fractured and my teeth can't operate properly, crowns for a bunch of areas which is ludicrous and then the best was when he used this fancy gadget to test the density of my teeth. Of course when it sounds like the machine finds gold it makes a siren like sound. So 3 teeth apparently need to be replaced with implants because their structure is apparently not good anymore. And apparently 2 teeth have moved or rotated. BS. They were not interested in my prior dental history which would have refuted their BS scammy claims. The Dentist gets away with his scam because majority of his patients are much older - hmm don't they call that senior abuse - taking advantage of people. It's sad that this office has no ethics. I consulted with my old Dentist and he agreed this guy is a quack. New update. I love love love this Dentist & his entire staff. After I was literally broken from head to toe, Dr. Lobato did an amazing job of creating temporary teeth (front!) and a detailed plan of action for incredibly extensive repair work needed to make my teeth look & function well again. Prior to this injury, I'd never had more than a filling and am nervous about dental procedures, so we use sedation (and a driver) to allay my anxiety. The entire staff is warm and kind and was so understanding in helping a Domestic Violence survivor feel & look human again. He worked for nearly four hours basically building new front teeth for me out of fillings because I was horrified at the thought of walking around (and due to the nature of my work, appearances count) with broken teeth till he determined the roots had not died from impact of accident. Should mention that I had a fingertip to elbow cast, head to toe severe lacerations, a broken nose & 3 broken ribs when he performed this dental miracle. Part of the time the cast was in his lap. He & Patty made me comfortable as possible, even providing a blanket crocheted by Dr L's Mom for warmth. He is a true artist, using only the best materials and I couldn't have hoped for better results. This is not a factory that pushes you in & out. They don't gouge for money, rather offer discounts and even helped to find benefits I didn't know I had. I'm always asked how I'm progressing in all areas related to both the accident and basically psycho:social history in general. It is still a long road until all of my work is complete, October will be 2 years since the incident. They gladly fit you in for emergencies and the office itself is clean, welcoming & friendly. I visit Dr Lobato for teeth cleaning every 3 months. My hygienist is Kris and she does exceptional work cleaning and polishing my teeth. Proof is when I see friends and family days following and they remark on my glistening teeth. But what I love most about the office and Kris and Dr Lobato is that the friendliness, the conversations and caring about me continue where they left off from the visit 3 months before. Awesome Dentist, awesome staff, and awesome location. I took my wife here to get a check up and despite having some financial difficulties, the staff here and dentist are excellent. My wife and I signed a bunch of paperwork and while waiting the Receptionist was very polite and friendly, the entire staff in fact was great to be very truthful. Regardless of where we may go or if we can stay with this Dr, which I truly hope we can, all I can say is you have to experience everything yourself to see that the truth is they care and take there time with each person. I feel like they misled me and misrepresented charges, so now I can't trust them and would not recommend their services. Went for my first cleaning/exam over 6 months ago. Everything went great, seemed very thorough. They did recommend sealant but as an adult I didn't feel that was necessary. They also did some sort of evaluation that measured tooth density I think - honestly can't remember, it was something I'd never had done, and it was a little over my head. I think they said one of the teeth had less density than the others and could cause problems down the road, so we needed to watch it. 6 months later (July) I go back for my second cleaning. At this appointment they ask if I'm going to have the cavity repaired that they mentioned at my first cleaning. I had no recollection of them mentioning a cavity, just the recommended sealant. I've NEVER had a cavity (at 24 years old) and I take good care of my teeth, if they had mentioned a cavity it would have stuck out to me! Regardless I scheduled a cavity appointment, and was given an estimate for $115 for the sealants and filling. I was also given the impression they had cleared it with my insurance and that my complete payment would be $115. About 2 weeks later I have the cavity at this appointment. Since at this point I'm still unsure that I have a cavity (as I've never had one and hadn't had any symptoms of one), I ask them to show me. All she brings up is the "density" thing from last time as her "proof." I naively went along with it. This week I received a bill from them for $230, because my insurance didn't cover the sealants. I call my insurance, they tell me they never cover sealant on any one over $15 so that the dentist misrepresented that. I call and speak to Cynthia, she agrees - that insurance doesn't cover sealant on an adult. I remind her that they had given me the impression that insurance would cover, and now I'm being charged an additional $230. She offered that I could make payments. I asked if that was the best she could do, and she brought it down to $180. Not very impressed. I won't be returning. And I will always call by insurance myself prior to procedures. read more

I found this dr from checking out Yelp reviews... Even with the great reviews, I was still hesitant. I have not found a great dentist like this in maybe 15 years. It was easy to find, great reserved parking for convenience, beautiful office and super friendly staff. The doctor was incredible. I came in for a cracked tooth and he took the time to get me in and treated quickly. The tooth needed more work than we initially thought and he made sure it was perfect. His passion for dentistry, his staff and his patients was pleasure to witness. It's nice to find a dentist that you don't dread going to. It sounds silly but I'm looking forward to my next visit. read more

I would put a 0 star review if that were possible. My fiancé saw this Dentist over a year ago, when we still lived in Vegas. He had never had cavities prior to seeing this Dentist. He apparently needed 3 teeth filled and his retainer needed to be fixed. He had the fillings done and the retainer fixed. The retainer fix barely lasted a year. And we just received a bill for the fillings. Apparently the type of filling they use is not covered by the insurance. When we spoke to their "LOVELY" billing staff, she had a whole speech about the type of fillings they use and why (seems odd the billings staff would have a speech about different types of fillings...must happen a lot.) They claim they don't know what is authorized by the insurance prior to these procedures. I've never been to a dentist office who doesn't preauthorize to make sure there is coverage!! This is UNACCEPTABLE! They are out for money!! BEWARE!! Do NOT have anything done by them without having them preauthorize work with your insurance, or better yet find a different Dentist to go to!!! AWFUL!! read more

I've been going to Dr. Lobato for years. I changed dentists for a brief time when my office location moved to the opposite side of town and never had the postive experience I had at Dr. Lobato's. He is an effective doctor and makes a visit to the dentist a pleasurable experience, ESPECIALLY for going to the dentist. His office and staff are friendly and most important, timely. I don't LOVE going to the dentist, but when I need to see a dentist (teeth cleaning, etc.) I LOVE going here! The office is in a great location with lots of parking, and the interior is lovely - clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, efficient and knowledgeable. Dr. Lobato is the best - he thoroughly explains every procedure and ensures you receive the best care. He doesn't try to sell you treatments you don't need - instead he presents all options and lets the patient decide what they are comfortable with.
