Came to Whitby today and had the traditional fish and chips in this nice restaurant. 6 of us where seated on a table for 8 straight away. Waitress came back fairly quickly and pointed out the deal of the day. Medium Cod, chips, mushy peas & cup of tea. As there was a few of us, 2 fairly large teapots arrived with milk jug. An additional jug of iced/lemon water also appeared as did the glasses. It was a good sized meal, well cooked if not a tiny bit greasy. But it is fish and chips!
Fish was fresh and flakey. Not to busy inside but plenty of people coming and going. No complaints about toilets.
The take out was right next door.
Fish & chips at the seaside, perfect.
