Robert is a super cool dude. While that's nice...it's more than that. This is a uniquely classic barber shop with all the quirks you'd expect. The decor is...well, you'd just have to see for yourself. It doesn't make any sense at all, but in the confusion of its weirdness, it's cool. I don't think any of the barber chairs are the same. Each barber is unique in their own way. No appointment needed, but I'm sure if this place wasn't located in the gas station parking lot, I'd need an appointment.
I'm 45 and in all my years, I've had two barbers I've liked...okay, maybe there are more, but the story is cooler if I say there were only two. Anyway, one of those barbers is Ashley and she works at Robert's place. She is nice in a subtle way. No, she's not bubbly and annoying. If I don't feel like talking, she's cool with it, but one thing I can always count on...and this is the biggy for me, she cuts my hair right. I don't have to guess how it's going to look. She nails it every time....for the last 10 years. That's a big deal to me. With other barbers, it's a risk. I never know. Yes, the hair will grow back, but geeze...This one time, a barber jacked my hair up so bad, I couldn't get the dog to play fetch...okay, so that didn't happen, but why risk it? I don't. I'll wait for Ashley if she is off for the day. Maybe I'm the only one that cares about these sort of things, but I sincerely doubt it.
I did hear that Robert is moving to a new location in the near future. He is planning on changing the name of the business, so stay tuned. read more
