I was heading to the VIP theatre in Kitchener when I saw Farm Boy. I got more excited visiting this store that I ended up deferring my movie. I had heard good things about Farm Boy. The closest one to my home is in Pickering. I have yet to go. This Farm Boy shares the same parking lot as Canadian Tire. As a result, there is tons of parking. It felt like an epiphany when I walked through the automatic doors. Lots of leafy greens on my left. I was so happy! Farm Boy reminds me of visiting Trader Joe's in the States. You can basically find a variety of yummy food items no matter what dietary restrictions that you may have. I found bags of Vegan Rob's snacks. I am borderline lactose-intolerant. Three bags were going for $4. Naturally, I bought three. The dairy-free cheddar puffs are amazing! And then, I got all happy at the bakery. My beloved Portuguese egg tarts were here! You can get six for $7.99. Done! They are even better the day after. So yummy! I also bought some dairy-free hot chocolate. It's perfect for this time of year. I am also a hot chocolate addict. I went to cash out. A cheerful woman asked if I needed a bag. At first, I said no. I then remembered that I have a bag clipped to my purse. It's a penguin that you unstuff to get your shopping bag. She thought that it was so cute. She bagged my goodies, which was wonderful. Prices are pretty good. I liked the variety of items. They all looked good and fresh. Whenever I am in the area, I'd definitely coming over here. (20)

While $0.30 may not sound like much, but if you get 400 to 500g that's just around $1.00 to $1.50 which is a big difference. I ordered the 10 inch vegan pizza and it was delicious. It was made in a wood oven and the crust was great. Best of all, it was only $8.99. Loved it. I didn't take a look around elsewhere, but I will be sure to check out the location closer to home.

They have everything from fresh pastry , different cuts of meat and a huge deli all serviced by great staff that know a lot about the products they are selling. Fresh Meat side had great value added already prepared things like stuffed meat loafs , rolled ribs and Stuffed flank steak. If anyone is looking for something different and wanted to be treated to great staff you must Check this place out. Im a meat guy but even their produce looked good! As far as COVID 19 goes, I felt safe in their store. They sanitize everything all the time and the lay out is good to social distance. Also found out they offer curve side pick up and delivery. This place is 10/10 and highly recommend going. I can honestly say it's one of the nicest independent grocery store I have ever been too !!

While I was in Kitchener I spotted a sign that read "Victoria Street Market" and something about…read moresausages... the building looked inviting. So I made a left and headed into the parking lot. Upon entering this little gem I observed a very clean and very well organized little shop. To begin the tour heading to the right hand side of the shop (which is about 5,000 sq feet I believe.) there was an area just dedicated to seafood with all kinds of fresh fish, shrimp, lobster, squid, salmon... you get the picture. The area had all kinds of seafood sauces and spices ... But HUH? I read something about sausages... so where are they? Ah as I got a little further into the store I saw an entire area with, beef, pork and chicken. As I looked over to the chilled glass display case, there were the sausages October fest, Hot Italian, Honey garlic, mild Italian, etc... On the left side of the shop I found a full deli counter filled with all kinds of cheeses and cold cuts. You may also order a sandwich of your choice and take it to go or eat it there. Each area has staff to assist you and all the staff were extremely pleasant and friendly. The store is loaded with all sorts of exotic sauces, spices, European cookies and breads. As for me I ordered a mixture of cold cuts, October fest sausages, some steaks and some chicken. The prices were great and I loved that the store was VERY clean. Will I be back again? OH YEAH!!!!..

I found this Zehrs in Kitchener, which was on my way home and decided to drop by. I didn't realize that it was at Stanley Park Mall. I love how I just blindly go somewhere and figure things out. I parked close to the mall entrance. There was plenty of parking available. I walked in. There were a ton of shopping carts by the grocery store's main entrance. I grabbed one and headed into the store. I saw an escalator that looked like it went downstairs to parking. I had no idea that there was an underground parking lot! I have been to Zehrs twice in my life, including this visit. I dig it. It's under the Loblaw umbrella, but staff are so friendly and there's a small town feel to it. This store is huge! I came to get produce and was pleased at how fresh everything was. I got mushrooms and they were so fresh when I used them today. The celery was in pristine condition. I liked the bananas. I saw a man break off a banana here and another one there. It was odd. He did it four times while I stood there. During a pandemic, I just buy a hand of bananas and break them off myself at home, without fussing over an imperfect banana. I enjoyed browsing in the drinks aisle. I got two bottles of Roar drinks, which are lower in sugar and claim to have electrolytes. The strawberry coconut one was my favourite. The Joe Fresh section is massive. I managed to get a couple of sleepwear t-shirts that had cute sayings related to sleep. I got them for $5 each. Such a great price! There's also a Starbucks cafe. It looked nice. I had already visited two cafes by the time I got here. I didn't need a third visit! I loved the hot food and to-go areas. The sushi bar looked incredible. I wasn't hungry. If I were, I know where to go. I had to use the washroom. There are two and are unisex. The one that I used was clean. It has hand sanitizer, too. I lined up at the cashout area. There was a nice woman letting us know which cash place to go to. I went to 2 and had another nice woman cash me out. I couldn't find my PC Optimum card at that point (I eventually did), so I whipped out my phone app and had it scanned. I then paid with my credit card. Done! We both wished each other a great day. We also said to stay safe to each other. I happily left rolling my groceries out to my car. Another woman was bringing back all carts. Staff sanitize them, which was nice to see. The aisles are wide and there are arrows on the floor to indicate in which direction you should walk. I only found one woman not get it. I am used to everyone ignoring the arrows when I'm in a store, so it was refreshing that folks were following them for a change! I enjoyed my shopping experience here. I'd return when I'm in the area. (11)
