Offered to purchase a truck at the internet advertise price. It was available. The dealership refused. They wanted and additional $899.00 for window tint and $225.00 for wheel locks. These were not mentioned on the internet listing. (see pictures) I filed a consumer complaint with the Texas Attorney General. Went in to look at the Mach E mustang and felt pressured into buying the vehicle. One of the sales people that do the actual numbers was very rude and disrespectful. He had asked me what I wanted to be at, I then told him and he said good luck in a rudely manner and walked off. Will never do business here. I went to Silsbee instead, they worked with me and were very polite. I even got the numbers I was looking for with gap and warranty. So Robert's Ford will never get my business and I will never refer someone to go here. read more

I bought a 2020 F-150 a couple of months ago. Salesman was a professional but the finance manager, T.J. Barlow, must have thought I was an idiot. Rude to boot. He must be Someone's Nephew or a Son in Law. That shifty guy will have Granger Ford on both sides of Green Avenue soon. I bought the vehicle anyway because it was what I was looking for and the Salesperson was helpful in finding what I wanted. Worst Car Dealership there is EVER. This is all based off the financial worker. The new man has a whole lot of guts. He is the true definition of DISRESPECTFUL. The car dealer and him miss communicated and had the numbers we were willing to do all wrong. So because of that he said things like because of us his children wouldn't be able to eat. And when he made a rude remark I said in confusion that wasn't nice and he goes it wasn't meant to be. At the end of the day if you want to sell ANYTHING, ANYWHERE YOU HAVE TO HAVE RESPECT! Within two days of the purchase of a Blue Certified Truck, had the DEF, TPMS, Oil and Fuel Filter warning lights come on. The DEF and TPMS came on within 100 miles of the purchase. McGee Ford put 2.5 gallons of DEF in it for us, indicating that it was not filled prior to the Certification. The TPMS was reset by our mechanic at no cost. Our mechanic stated (as indicated this on the bill) that both Filters were completely black. It appears that Roberts did not replace at least the Fuel Filter since the oil in a diesel goes black rather quickly. Set the bill to Roberts Ford and for 3 weeks now they have not responded. All that I can say, buyer beware, they do not stand behind what they sell - at least in this case. read more

The vehicle I was interested in was $4000.00 overpriced, when they brought the vehicle price down I told them on Saturday that I would be stopping by on Tuesday, a vendor from the car lot said they would be waiting for me, on Monday they called me five times, when I answered I was told that because I put in for a trade-in appraisal that was why I was getting called so many times. Tuesday I woke up at 3am so that I could get there early (I live 6hrs away from them) and I get a call at 8am that the vehicle would not be ready for purchase because it would not pass state inspection. read more

Horrendous customer service! Do NOT use this dealership as they will do NOTHING in your best interests. Use a Houston location or a different dealership altogether. They are willing to risk everything and lose your business to save a couple hundred dollars. Was about to pay full asking price for a Kia Optima and right before we signed papers noticed a scrape on the side of the car. Instead of offering to take off a couple hundred dollars or just fix the scrape they declined and they lost their business all together and we voluntarily voided the contract given their response to our concerns. We will make effort to make sure no relatives, friends or acquaintances know of this dealership, use them or even talk about refering them to this location. It's sickening how these people deal business... and it's shady. read more

I bought a 2017 Mustang convertible from Sabine River Ford in October of 2017. A month ago I began having problems with the passenger headlight. So I take it in my ford dealership in Houston to get it adjusted when they tell me my certified pre-owned car which was supposed to have gone through a 172 pt inspection had been previously wrecked and completely covered up. My headlight brackets were all broken and were secured on with bondo. Two parts with serial numbers tracked back to Sabine River Ford. They told me all they did was look at the car fax. That was it. Which is fraud to me and to Ford, who they obtained the warranty from. The damage was to the entire passenger fender and headlight which would cost over $2600 to fix. I obtained the auction records (they told us it had been traded in) and the auction records also show it had been wrecked. The dealership bought it that way. I asked Jason French, the manager who sold us the car to make this right and he and the dealership refused. Do not ever go to this dealership for anything. Ever. Fraud seems to prevalent throughout this dealership. Especially in the used car area. read more

I went there for a warranty issue with my car. They refused to service my vehicle due to the fact that I did not buy the vehicle there. Jim Surber was very rude and ugly. Warranty if good until 3 years or 36000 miles. Regardless if you bring It in with 35,999 miles on it (no not mine,..just an example) the vehicle is still under warranty, according to ford. read more

This dealership is horrible. The service department is completely incompetent. We own a Ford F250 and every time we have had service here they cause some sort of damage. The first time they cracked the dash replacing an air vent. The second time they didn't tighten the lug nuts and one was completely missing. Our latest experience was suppose to be just an oil change. They took it upon themselves to change fuel filters when they were specifically told not to. In less than 48 hrs the truck wouldn't start. They allowed air to get in the lines and it shut down. We are now being told by another dealership that it will be nine thousand dollars to have it fixed. We will be retaining a lawyer and suing them in civil court. Do not fall victim to there shady ways as we have done. I hope they are ready for the battle I will be bringing. read more

I'm writing this review on behalf of my father-in-law. He purchased a used truck from Sabine River Ford at the beginning of October 2014. After 60 days they had not received license plates or a title. On December 8th, they contacted the dealership but it took 2 attempts before anyone talked to them. My in-laws were told a story that they didn't have the title from the person who sold the vehicle to the dealership so they couldn't process the paperwork. No one from the dealership had contacted them about any issues, and eventually they learned that the paperwork hadn't even attempted to be processed. The temporary plates were expired and they were told they could pick up an additional set of temporary plates. My father-in-law went to the dealership to pick them up and the people there were very unorganized and still hadn't processed any paperwork. He told them he was very frustrated with this entire fiasco, and asked to speak to management and was told there was no one he could talk to at 2:00 pm because everyone was at lunch. My father-in-law is 80 and as of this posting no one has contacted him. read more
