It took me a few days to get over the trauma that Dr. Kirkwood put me through to extract those 2 teeth. I feel that he is some kind of a sadist, putting me through the pain that I felt from the needles he injected me with, without anesthetizing the area where the injections were going. As I was screaming from the horrible pain, all I was told that it would be over in a matter of minutes. I think he enjoyed hearing my horrible screams. It was quite barbaric. I definitely would not recommend them to anyone. If you feel apprehensive about your dental experience, definitely find another practice.

I went in about two and a half weeks ago, had an extremely easy X-ray taken, told what needed to be done and scheduled the appointment. The wonderful receptionist, dark hair with glasses, was so nice and helped give me a great deal. The day I went into surgery a woman and Dr. Funt were extremely nice and helpful. I woke up numb and headed home, eight hours later I have almost no pain or issues. If you can make it to this office- you should, very professional, clean and friendly.

The surgery went well and after a few hours of sleep at home I was feeling fine and eating soft foods. Dr. Funt is down to earth and knows what he's doing, even called my house the evening after the surgery to check up. The day after the surgery I was fully functioning with no pain or bleeding at all, and three days afterward my teeth and gums were comfortable enough to start on some solids. So staff does not know what insurance they accept even when they call the insurance company! It's best to have your insurance call the office to verify.

Dr. Ganta is the single greatest doctor I've ever had. Plain and simple. I've never had such a caring woman be my advocate. She has been nothing short of wonderful over the years. I have the worst luck in the world when it comes to my teeth and she has helped me with every last problem. She has called me in her off time to check on me, to help me get a plan of care that helped me AND that I could afford. I cannot recommend her enough. The oral surgeon, Dr. Peysakhov is also amazing. Again, caring. Wonderful. Has spent so much time ensuring my questions and concerns were addressed. When I was finally able to get my implants started, he called me on his off time to see how I was. Gives his personal cell phone to keep in touch over the weekend and asks that I text him to let him know how I am doing in the healing process. You don't get this kind of care anymore. Dr. Cherien is also a very nice man, I've seen him twice and he is clearly the example in his practice. ALL the support staff are friendly and attentive. Seriously, if you're looking for a dentist in the area, come here. They're absolutely amazing, and easily the best medical practice--dental or otherwise--that I've ever seen. ***SURPRISE BILLING!*** I've been going to this dentist for…read moreover ten years. I have great insurance as a firefighter, and they have always told me how they love my insurance because it pays for everything. Since I became a firefighter and got my dental insurance, Advanced family dental has done a ton of work to my teeth. They have changed through numerous dentists here and many receptionists also. The only constant has been Ping, the hygienist. Ping has always been very professional and friendly and has taken care of my family. Today, I decided that we will not return to this place ever again. I came in for my appointment and checked in with the receptionist. This is their moment to check me into the system, see the service I am scheduled for, check that against my insurance, and let me know of any charges I will incur today. They didn't mention anything to me and told me I can take a seat. I have my regular cleaning with Ping, all goes well. Then a woman comes in and tells me that I owe $85 for the service today. I said, "that shouldn't be, I have excellent insurance, and they cover everything." They tell me I'm only allowed 3 cleanings for the year. If I would have been scheduled in January, everything would have been fine. But they checked me in, KNOWING that I would be charged, and didn't mention anything to me. I speak to the woman in charge, and she says, "All I can say is I'm sorry, since the services have already been rendered." They knew I was going to owe something and did not tell me until after they performed the service. I paid the balance and left. I will never return. They also cancelled my wife's previous appointment without calling her and explaining why. They just cancelled it and sent her an email saying she needs to make a new appointment. My wife had taken off work, and they cancelled her appointment. The management of this place is in shambles. It has changed many owners over the years, and it is a sinking ship. Get out while you can. ***ALSO...the orthodontics services received here are SUBPAR. I got Invisalign here and at the same time my wife went to APPEL Orthodontics for Invisalign. Her end result is FAR SUPERIOR to what I received here. We just recently took our son to APPEL for braces and could not be happier. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND APPEL ORTHODONTICS. ***

Review of Dr Thomas Gillon:…read more Doc was running late but his level of care is worth the wait! He is thorough, kind & personable as well as knowledgeable. There are therapists on the premises although I didn't take advantage of the service. The staff is patient & cheerful too. Dr Gillon was recommended by my Orthopedist, Dr Dearolf, for his expertise with hands. A dear friend had carpal tunnel surgery in 2014 performed by Dr. Gillon. Her symptoms were resolved & she was glad to know he is treating me now. I highly recommend Philadelphia Hand To Shoulder for anyone having difficulty grasping, lifting or controlling their hands.

Came here recently when I had a bad fall in my home…read more I had to go to the urgent care first for them to send me here since they thought my elbow was broke. Dr. Gullion confirmed the break and said I had broken the head of my radial bone, and he scheduled me for the earliest appointment for surgery which I was happy about because I feared missing so much work due to my injury. I was scheduled 2 days after I was seen at Hand to Shoulder Center and was scheduled for their routine COVID19 test the next day. The day of the surgery I was sent to an ambulatory place but Dr. Gullion was the one doing the surgery, which made me more relaxed since it was him and not someone else I never met. He spoke to me beforehand and told me what to expect, he also told me what to expect after the surgery and said that I would need to get my stitches out 2 weeks after surgery and he would assist with that. I felt at ease, before I went in for the surgery. I was given medications and passed out within seconds... or so I think I honestly don't remember. But before I knew it which I was told was (2 1/2 hours) I was done. I went for my follow up to get stitches out at the 2 week mark, and during that time I guess my nerves got the best of me and I almost passed out, I started seeing dots. I told the staff and they had me lay down in another room. Dr. Gullion came in and grabbed a wet towel for my head and reassured me that it happens all the time to make me feel better since I was embarrassed I almost passed out. I then felt a little better and got my xrays done, where he showed me that the elbow was fixed, then again I got woozy looking at the screw in my arm and had to lay down again. After all that, I was sent over to the physical therapy part of the center and was scheduled to get myself back to my old self again. I am still in the healing process, but I am so happy that the surgery was a success and I am on track with recovering quickly- well that's what the physical therapist said.
