I was already nervous about being there because I had melanoma removed & was back for a check up again. My husband passed from cancer & every receptionist, nurse, doctor that we came across down at U of Penn were amazing & caring. This lady needs to find another career & maybe not with other people.

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience at this doctor's office was so disappointing that I feel compelled to share. From start to finish, it was clear that patient care is not a priority here. The front desk staff was dismissive and unhelpful, and I was treated more like an inconvenience than a person seeking medical care. Appointments feel rushed, and any questions are brushed off or met with impatience. There's no sense of compassion or effort to build trust -- just a constant push to get you in and out as quickly as possible. Follow-up is nonexistent, and you're left chasing down your own care. It honestly feels like they've forgotten that the people walking through their doors are human beings, not billing codes. If you're looking for a place that genuinely values its patients, I'd recommend going elsewhere. This office is just not it.

I told the Aesthetician that I had bad reactions to Botox, but she dismissed my remarks saying that they. my doctor (migraine protocol and muscular Botox for Myofascitis by a Neurologist) "They just did it in the wrong place" and disregarded that I did not want Botox, just filler along the lip line for wrinkles above the lip and maybe the lines next to my mouth. As she was doing shots in my face, she says as the needle is in my face, "just a little toxin". I ended up looking like Quasimodo or a monster (see first 3 pictures below). It cost me $1600+ for procedures I did NOT ask for and I DID NOT want and turned me into something grotesque. They refused to reimburse me for procedures later that I did not want nor ask for. I did not take pictures for over a week or more of myself because I could not look at myself. I also could not talk right, pronounce hard consonants, eat or drink because the water would just pour out of my mouth because I could not move my lips and my jaw, and I could not move my mouth or jaw to eat, drink or speak (= Botox). So, 3 of the pictures are the pictures from over a week or so after (less than the worst of it). I was told after the injections to come back in 2 weeks for them to finish. What! More money and work after over $1600? The last 3 pictures are from a week before the injections and at the time of a Zoom job interview and before they started to change my face into the disfigurement it became (...See the before and after pictures below). After 2 months I still find myself tripping over consonants and have to repeat them with very thoughtful pronunciations. I would not recommend Skin Smart.

I see Dr. Evans and would hands down recommend her to everyone I know (I do this already). Front desk has always been fine. All assistants/nurses have always been great. Dr. Evans is wonderful. Her and her team have always managed to make me feel comfortable, welcome, and cared about whether I'm fully clothed, standing there nude, or on my stomach getting skin surgery with just local anesthetic. She is super kind and friendly and makes me feel at ease. Last year I got a tag removed while pregnant (they only use safe anesthetic) and this year I've gotten a full body scan, seven biopsies removed, and will have gotten 3 skin excisions done. I am a HUGE baby when it comes to clinical procedures and it honestly wasn't that bad because I feel at ease with her. Her stitches are meticulous and my wounds have healed wonderfully.
