He is…read moretruly a skilled photographer and takes time with his artistry to craft the perfect look for you. I've worked with several photographers in NYC and DC in the past, and usually, they will rush you, take a few shots, and deliver ho-hum photos. Not John though, and that's what sets him apart from others. The first headshot from several months ago is amazing and I still get compliments. I came back for the branding package for my website(s), and I'm thoroughly excited by the results. I just got them the photos today, and I could not wait to write a review. The professionalism, the quality, and artistry are impeccable. John is a specialist with lighting and gives you slight direction to get the right pose needed for your photo. The result is a photograph that stands the tests of time and stands out from the crowd. He is an artistic genius, funny, and pleasant to work with. A true superstar if you ask me. We bought a photo sitting from the Picture Story Studio a couple of years ago. When my wife and I…read moresaw the offer, it was the right time. We bid on the offer, got it and told our parents that we were going to send them a picture of the family and kids - we were excited. However, what we got did not meet our expectations. The photo shoot was outdoors and should have been casual in a natural setting. Unfortunately, we were asked to sit in very conservative poses which did not match the setting our our family style. When we met to review the photos, there was very little we liked. We noted that in one set of photos, a big fat guy was standing in the bushes behind us - the photographer told us that he could be removed from the photo. Two things seemed strange to me - 1. That a professional photographer would not see a fat guy standing in the bushes behind us, and 2. that he would even suggest that we alter the photo so much. In the end, the photo shoot cost much more than we expected. We were not happy with the photos and did not like any enough to get them printed in a large format. We got them framed at another location. We are thrilled that the company supports local charities and hope it continues to do so. Perhaps, I should take some of the blame - one should be comfortable with a photographer at the outset and should be aware of all the costs of the project. Perhaps buying a discounted photo shoot is always a bad idea and this should be a warning for people buying charity and groupon discounted shoots. If the deal seems too good, it probably is. Based on the testimonials on the company's website, it seems that other people are happy - I'm sorry that I was not.

Now I plan to ask her to take some photos of my artwork as well.

At the recommendation of a…read morefriend who used this dynamic duo for their wedding and subsequent photo shoots of their growing little boy, I schedule my newborn photo shoot with this team. Scheduling the appointment was easy -- I was able to get in within a week of calling. When we arrived, this pair was welcoming and friendly and put us all at ease. Marge was wonderful with our little girl and has a great eye with posing us and our little one. The photos!!! I was truly amazed at the photos. It was so hard to choose which ones to order. The pictures were ready withing 3 business days. All the images were put on a website where I could review and compare as well as order prints. We were also able to send the website to our family members so they could see too! Costs: I think they were very reasonable -- the cost of the shoot was just about $50 for a 1.5 or 2 hour shoot. The pictures themselves are what costs the money especially since we were buying for ourselves and our parents. However, they do offer you the ability to buy the image digital so you can produce as many as you want. I will be using this team for other milestone shots! As an aside - I also just learned that another one of our friends just used them for their wedding back in August 2008 and loved them as well!
