There's an upstairs with a coffee table, a bean bag chair and two chairs (and lots of artists wares for sale on the wall). There are a few tables outside, so waiting until it's warm enough or ordering To-Go would be my suggestion. I shared pictures of the beautiful breakfast plates we received. The food was delicious! The sausage I asked for in my Eggs Benny was delicious! They were clearly homemade sausage that had a nice rosemary flavor. My husband's breakfast star was the chef made ham steak slices, and the rosemary sourdough toast. Yes, I recommend the food here! We were rather disappointed by the temperament of the person we assumed is the owner... when asked if they would please lower the music a little, because I'm healing from a traumatic brain injury (and it was blasting commercials and music; it wasn't a pleasant music track or album), said with an attitude "Sorry I can't control where the speakers are", and from that point seemed a lot less friendly. Her attitude didn't ruin the taste of the food, but this was a special outing (my first in 3 years since falling on black ice), near Goodspeed Opera House. This is a touristy area and people that run breakfast/brunch spots are usually friendly and eager to help with small requests. Often interactions with the restaurant staff adds greatly to the experience. Her sour grapes and refusal to help me feel comfortable by lowering it a smidge (I was already wearing noise cancelling ear buds, just so you understand how loud it was and that she didn't turn it down even a tiny bit), made breakfast less nice. We won't be returning ~ there are so many restaurants struggling to survive after Covid, we'd rather spend our time and money there.

When you need lighting (as a homeowner) I don't think I have ever been to a better location than…read moreValley lighting. My wife got a recommendation to VL from a coworker. Now I recommend VL to all of you. We have been shopping for lighting as we update the outside of our 1970's CT colonial and our kitchen. Countless websites with thousands of pictures led to some frustration and we decided to go visit some lighting stores. Some stores may be highly recommended but are really for designers, they are by appointment only, have a very limited supply for a showroom, but offer a really big screen so you can browse their website (ugh!) Others have a bigger supply in the showroom and have nice people who understand lighting. Then there is Valley Lighting! They had a huge selection to look at (and touch) a friendly staff who really knew their inventory, availability and options and were also full of ideas that made us open up the options we were considering. We worked with Zac and he was really great as we waffled on every aspect from design, color, and size. We settled on a design for the outdoor lights in about 20 minutes, after searching for the last several weeks. We purchased 2 Large, 2 Medium, and 2 Small lights to mount on the exterior as well as 3 post lights for the driveway. They also had a huge selection of lightbulbs and guided us through witch wattage and color would work best for our application. This seems elementary that a lighting store would do this, but I haven't seen it elsewhere. We were able to bring home two lights which I mounted (pictured) and the rest were ordered and we expect them in 2 weeks. Now that we accomplished this project it is time to finalize the kitchen lights and for that we will certainly return to VL.

A second room contains shirts, blouses, sweaters, scarves, and a surplus of boots perfect for the fall season. Another room is exquisite! It's like being in an expensive boutique where beautiful dresses, gowns, shoes, and accessories are sold for a fraction of the price you would pay otherwise. The last clothing room has racks of pants, tops, jackets, and coats available in all sizes. Treats are awaiting to be eaten in the last room which is the kitchen. What a perfect venue for displaying household goods & holiday items. I've been a customer of Fabulous Fashions since Jewell opened her first store. Thank goodness she moved closer to me! I rarely leave the store without buying an item or two or three. I've found myself running back to the store on the same day to purchase an item I passed up the first time, not wanting anyone else to buy it. You'll leave the store with your purchases wrapped in tissue paper and placed in a beautiful flowered gift bag tied with raffia and a signature Fabulous Fashion card you'll be sure to share with a friend.
