This business, which is family owned and has PRIDE (it's obvious) will surprise the heck out of you. I've been there twice and both times, I was greeted promptly by friendly staff that moves around quickly (they are busy!) and they got my work (again, oil change and alignment) fast and efficiently. The waiting area is like your buddy's den, complete with comfy chairs and a great homey feel. There is absolutely NO comparison with anywhere else (typically a sterile, dirty room that has no AC in which you swelter in the heat (Poinsett has AC) and try not to touch anything other than the grungy plastic chairs that you sit on. These guys care and you can tell! Warning: Good business practices result in lines of people that want to do business with you....and this business is no exception. If you drop in and can leave your car, they MAY be able to fit you in before the end of the day but, more typically, you have to make a reservation at least a week in advance. That stinks but it is like a good restaurant....there are lines and you have to make a reservation because they are GOOD....How often do you get a great meal from a restaurant that is rarely crowded? Nice job Poinsett Tire and Auto Service! You have a lifetime customer here and you earned him the hard way...by being great at what you do and by going the extra mile to surprise me with an unexpectedly great personal experience.

They've cared for and serviced our vehicles for decades and if something's not right, they MAKE IT RIGHT. We fully trust them and appreciate their honesty in dealing with repairs. Our last situation was a flat in one of the tires we recently purchased from them. The tires came with a road service warranty. I made one call to the towing company, the car was towed within 30 minutes and when we went to pick it up the paper work had all been taken care of so we headed home. No hassle!

Be aware prior to getting your tire fixed/changed - we felt cheated and customer service was not at…read moreits best. We brought our rental car in to get the tire fixed at 2pm on Thursday afternoon. He did not get to checking the tire until Friday morning (did not even call to let us know this... we had to call). After seeing that he could not fix it, he put a semi brand new tire on our car (or so we were told). He told us his credit card machine was not working so we were nice enough to go get cash from the ATM nearby. Up to this point, we had decent service from Rick. Fast forward less than 24 hours... the "new" tire was already flat as we were heading out of town. We called Rick and he said he would make things right, but he had no cash to give us that day (we decided to switch rental cars instead of getting another bad tire from him). We let him know we were going out of town, so my parents could pick up the money the following week. Fast forward the following week... once again, he had no cash in his office, so he asked my parents to come later in the week. When my parents showed up, he said he could not refund the money unless we gave him back the tire. This was never stated over the phone since he had our old tire. Even with understanding that we were probably not getting our money back at that point, both Rick and his assistant at the front desk were rude (Rick just walked away). Moral of the story, if you need a new tire or need to get your tire fixed, go elsewhere.

They left and told me they would send a flat bed pretty hard to tow when you have the front tire off-I said not thanks. I then called Tanner up at Buchanan & Sons and he came up to Paris Mountain and we had to switch the spare to the front since GMC gave me a 17" spare that does not clear my brake large GMC calipers and Tanner then out the rear 20" rim and tire on the front and I put the 17" spare on the rear, Tanner took my flat Front tire and had it plugged by the time I got back to their shop! Truly awesome service and family we Giffels (My son and wife and I) have gone there for service and other items for over 40 Years! Highly recommend they are super people and do great work!
