It has been almost 6 months since my mom passed away at this facility, and it has taken me a while to collect my thoughts. I first handedly witnessed the poor care that this facility provides its residents, especially my mother. Even if a facility is short staffed, that should never interfere with the quality of care that the patient gets. Every time I would come in, I would have to take out my mother's garbage, clean the urine puddles off the floor from them neglecting what has been sitting there for days, mop the floors due to the floor constantly being sticky, constantly remind the facility of her shower schedule (they would miss days and was told they were "short staffed"), her bedding was never changed, she would sit in her wet diapers for hours, her sores were never attended to - this list could go on and on. Her catheter bag was never tended to properly which caused a fatal infection and when this was brought up by my sister the day prior, it was shrugged off that it would be tended to at some point. The worst part was is that no one from the facility reached out to let my sister or I know that our mother was declining until over an hour and a half the evening of August 19th but by that time...is was to late, my beautiful Mother had passed away without my sister or I by her side. I was ripped away the chance to say goodbye or I love you one last time to my mother of 38 years who was my rock and everything to me. She was my whole world and I can't help but cry reliving these moments as I type. Even the days, weeks, months after, my family and I never and STILL haven't heard anything from the facility regarding condolences. Just their tail between their legs and silence. This is something that I will never be able to forgive. If you are looking to put a loved one at the facility, I would highly recommend looking otherwise unless this is your last resort. Even then, I would make sure that you were able to be by your loved ones side at least 3 to 4 times a week while they're in the facility to ensure they are getting proper care. This place is infested with Norwegian scabies, someone lied and said none was in the facility, that it was just a rumor. Then it spread rapidly. The administrative office let it continue to spread without taking proper precautions, ​​you know just incase it wasn't a rumor. It's very contagious and even harder to get rid of. read more

Poor communication between physicians and staff. In fact my family member was sent to Miller against her physicians order. It was over heard that "our" insurance was extremely good and could stay for up to 21 days. Which in turn tells me they (Riverside) is only interested in $$$ not patient care. Went in on a Thursday, against OAK ortho Drs order but couldn't be released until family dr discharged. After 2 days of no return calls it then decided to start calling the back up dr. Who did discharge but never visited or consulted our family member. Found out her family dr was out of the country, why wouldn't people info others of these kinds of delays!!! Poor management from the top down!!! read more

My sister-in-law is in there right now. She is in there due to a broken hip and so she cannot get out of bed on her own. It seems like a pretty good place, but, she has only been in there a couple of days and they do not answer her call in the evening when she has to use the bathroom, the first time she soiled herself really bad and wasn't helped for a very long time. Last night she called me in tears because, again after about 20 minutes of waiting for a response, they ignored her call. As far as I am concerned the night staff is there mostly to assist people with bathroom needs and meds! I had to call the main telephone number to get the receptionist to get her help. This could not be more wrong, dignity is also a huge part of recovery!!! read more

I have in miller rehab it is good place to put my mom there because she was in there before the staff is for the people who are there .
