They seem quite happy for your to try stuff out until you are happy to ask their opinion. I had previously visited their on-line shop, but there is no substitute for a hands on /foot in boot approach So to sum up Not cheap but definitely very good.

The showers and toilet block are gleaming and there is a laundrette on site so ideal after a days walking on the hills. There is campervan/ caravan waste water and chemical waste disposal/ refill. This site is an ideal pass through site or stay for a few days to get most out of snowdonia.

The price is near 40% more than other better sited and equipped sites. The games room is again nice but no one could play either air hockey or pool without damaging either a wall or avoid hit someone with a cue I. E. very cramped.

This pub is just what you need after climbing Snowdon!…read more They have a microbrewery on-site and brew their own range of ales and stouts...I think our group tried all of them and looked happy doing so! I'm not a beer/ale/stout fan, so you'll just have to trust my friends. The most popular was "Carmen sutra", but my boyfriend also really liked "something gold" and "Carmen's pulling power." The pub itself is huge, with quite a few rooms and plenty of space to eat, even if you are in a large group. They serve happy comfort food (like scampi and chips, roast dinners and pies.) It isn't the best pub food ever, but it is pretty decent...and will seem even better if you climb any of the surrounding mountains in the rain!! The staff are also really friendly. I have been here twice (each time I've climbed Snowdon) and I think I'll come back if we choose to do other hikes in this area. I am definitely a fan.

Y Warwwwwwwwwwws Beddgelert…read more Some older readers will get that, younger readers probably won't! Y Warws is a pretty famous outdoor gear shop in Beddgelert. They sell high quality walking, hiking, mountaineering etc clothing and equipment. Lots of the clothing sold here is Gelert branded, produced locally, and with a good reputation in outdoorsey type circles. Y Warws is also an excellent place for camping gear, tents, waterproofs, anything you might need to survive an adventure in Snowdonia if you're unlucky enough to visit during the rainy season (50 weeks approx per year, sometimes 52). The stuff sold here isn't the cheapest, but it's quality. I have to be honest and say that the same high quality branded gear can pobably be found cheaper online, but for once I'd actually recommend visiting the shop, discussing your needs with the knowledgeable staff, and buying something from them instead of the cheapest option. They not only sell good stuff, they also provide you with a service, buying advice, and will in my experience steer you toward what you need, not simply the items that make them most profit.
